  1. Ok, ignoring DA who's just off his rocker and providing nothing to the thread. Let's Make The Bulls Fun Again. They can't win a title, but they might as well go balls out and get wild and wacky. Let's make a move for Robin's brother. Send off a 1st rounder and some of those lost assets like Douggie McNoBuckets, Bobby Portis, etc. Since the Bulls' guards can't shoot for s***, letting Brook roam and drop threes while locking things down on the defensive end would add an interesting dynamic. Let's just lose their minds and deal for Lopez and Melo. While Melo doesn't want to waive his no trade clause, we all know he loves Jimmy. B Lopez T Gibson J Butler C Anthony D Wade That's a hell of a fun to watch 2nd round out there! Both Lopez and Melo are good for 2 3's per game. Let's get GarPax on the phone! TV ratings will go right back up! MTBFA
  2. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 16, 2017 -> 07:50 AM) Guess what? Jabari's knee did explode. Seem familiar? It should. Another team geographically closer that was "rising" had the same issue, and look what happened. Would you trade Butler straight up for Cousins? That idiot will never win a title. The 25-31 Nuggets might be a complete joy to you, but they have no shot at a title anytime soon unless the next Lebron or Michael somehow falls into their lap. The way the new NBA works, it is going to be harder to sign the premium free agents. For the majority of the NBA, they need a miracle draft pick to really be a contender in the next 5 years. Reality. That "other" team was completely built around the player whose knee exploded. Giannis Antetokounmpo is a 22 year old monster and has the highest upside of anyone in the entire NBA. How do you ignore him in your reponse? You know how the NBA works? ELITE f***ING TALENT. The Bucks have it. The next KD has already fallen in their laps. Now please, go educate yourself and then begin responding. K thanks.
  3. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 16, 2017 -> 07:31 AM) More than half the league isn't even .500. I'd hold off on Orlando Magic championship swag any time soon. Hornets? Kings? Nuggets? Pistons? Bucks? Upside? Really? Dude DID YOU JUST INCLUDE THE F*CKING BUCKS ON A LIST WITHOUT UPSIDE? Also, the Nuggets are on the rise. Jesus, Jokic is a f***ing monster. The Kings have a superstar so that helps them. Pistons suck. Hornets are basically the Bulls, so they are no good. BUT JESUS MAN THE BUCKS ARE REALLY RISING. If not for Jabari's knee exploding again, they'd have been the team with the biggest upside imo over the next 5 years. The Nuggets are also just a complete joy as already stated. So, Dick Allen, here's your goals for today. 1) get a clue 2) then talk NBA Thanks!
  4. QUOTE (FT35 @ Feb 15, 2017 -> 10:03 AM) I may give it a shot...anyone have a vector file of the Soxtalk.com logo by itself? I believe you'll want to message Kalapse.
  5. QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 14, 2017 -> 11:27 AM) Does anyone know of any decent restaurants open late in West Loop area? Doesn't have to be West Loop but preferably within a 15 minute uber. I have class til 9 and the lady and I are going to get a late night dinner but I can't find anywhere decent for the life of me. All of my searches are yielding Jim's Orginal and Four Aces. Not good. The West Loop is loaded. Take her to Little Goat Diner. That place is the best.
  6. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Feb 10, 2017 -> 12:50 PM) Anyone use an external hard drive for their PS4? I ran out of space and I don't really want to delete anything. Was thinking of grabbing a TB hard drive but I was looking for some opinions here. I'm considering just getting a PS4 Pro and selling the regular. Difference will wind up being not much more than a big drive. The hardware acceleration (boost mode) pretty much has me sold on the upgrade.
  7. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 10, 2017 -> 02:43 PM) As I posted earlier, 51% of his supporters believe in the Bowling Green Massacre lie. We're not dealing with rational people. You make a good point. Another moment of silence, please.
  8. It's been awhile since I f***ed around in Photoshop. I made a thing.
  9. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 10, 2017 -> 02:18 PM) Trump brings up vote fraud again, this time in meeting with senators He's now claiming that "thousands" of MA residents illegally voted in NH. Crazy people with a poor grasp on reality now run our country. At least one month in we've reached a point where no one save coal miners and brett take this f***ing clown seriously.
  10. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 10, 2017 -> 01:20 PM) Nah, time is on liberals side. Every year America becomes more diverse, less white. Look at the numbers, Trump did horrific with non-whites. This is your last stand, your battle of the bulge. Yes there was a setback, but liberals will still win the day eventually. http://college.usatoday.com/2016/11/09/how...al-orientation/ Those graphs have to be terrifying to you, unless you think "whites no degree" are the future of the USA? Yup, this election was the boomers' final "f*** you, get off my lawn" to the future that's passed them by.
  11. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 10, 2017 -> 06:59 AM) Oh you have us mistaken. We just don't like lying con artists with ties to Russia that make travel bans specifically tailored around their business interests who refuse to divest and refuse to let the American public know where their money comes from. We love America PS we don't like his white nationalist puppeteer either Stop wasting your time on trolls who do NOT READ. Move forward, for every 1 brett there are 10 people who voted Trump who will look at #realnews and realize their grave mistake.
  12. QUOTE (brett05 @ Feb 10, 2017 -> 06:44 AM) I do, it's not, it's a ban for a short period of time from 7 countries. It is not a ban on Muslims. 90% of the foreign Muslims are under no such EO. Just stop, please folks, I know you don't like anything that helps America. Please just stop. Thankfully, it's nothing, because it was so poorly conceived, planned, and executed by racist bigots that the other branches of government are rightly doing their job to block it. The people are rising up, and I am proud of them. We have to keep to feet on the gas peddles. We cannot let us. The moment we as a nation let up, they will know they can get away with the bulls***, lies, and genuine evil this administration is trying to pull off.
  13. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Feb 9, 2017 -> 08:44 PM) Someone needs to go cover Anthony Davis in bubble wrap right now. He's already fragile! No s***.
  14. It appears being an up-and-coming stud out of Chicago is not good for business.
  15. But are extra innings really the problem (particularly with non-baseball fans)? In a given season, about 10% of the games go into extra innings. Of those, the vast majority only need an extra inning or two to complete. I would argue that the non-baseball fan is going to think that baseball is long whether it goes 9 innings or 11. A handful of games each year turn into marathons of 14-18 innings. But that’s so few as to be statistically insignificant, really. To me, this move from the MLB is a solution in search of a problem. Extra innings aren’t the problem. Pace of play is a problem.
  16. The Zinger is 21 years old, can hit from anywhere, and blocks shots like a madman. I think generational talent is a stretch depending on definition. IF generational talent equals = Jordan, LeBron, possibly LaMelo Ball (I just had to find a way to mention him today), then no. If it means someone on the level of a Dirk Nowitzki or Carmelo Anthony or Chris Paul, then yes. I believe Porzingis will be top 10 in PER for a decade.
  17. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 8, 2017 -> 05:48 PM) Watch the Bulls trade for Melo. I'm honestly surprised that hasn't been a rumor given how hard we tried to sign him.
  18. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 8, 2017 -> 11:17 AM) The only thing I can think has happened behind the scenes is some sort of guarantee of a FA coup to the front office by Wade and Jimmy. There is zero reason to stay the course otherwise On a side note, McBuckets is wrecked. His confidence is completely gone, he is bricking free throws now. There was a second half scramble against the Kings where both teams turned the ball over it seemed 6 consecutive times and Doug was involved with every one of the Bulls turnovers. He threw a pass into the other half of the court like he thought it was ok Dude, Wade is absolutely opting out after this year and heading back to Miami.
  19. Trump is telling everyone our country is a pile of s*** again right now.
  20. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 7, 2017 -> 03:32 PM) "It won't personally affect me" isn't a good reason not to care about something, anyway. There's an entire party built on this philosophy that somehow conned the people the most in need of help into giving them complete control of everything.
  21. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Feb 8, 2017 -> 04:48 AM) Sources: John Paxson and Gar Forman jobs safe moving into Bulls' offseason http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baske...0207-story.html Well of course they are. The Bulls are incredibly well-run.
  22. QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 6, 2017 -> 06:09 PM) Your link is from days before the Berkely shooting... QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 6, 2017 -> 07:26 PM) There was no shooting at Berkeley. QUOTE (Soxy @ Feb 6, 2017 -> 07:35 PM) Pretty sure it happened on the anniversary of the Bowling Green Massacre. . .
  23. I see series 1 has been souped up and the price is right. Looking to purchase for my wife as she loves tracking things and I think it'd be a good all-in-one replacement for her fitbit that also let's her see key information without pulling out her phone. That said, I know no one who has an Apple Watch, and am curious what first-hand info Soxtalk has on it?
