I am worried for my daughter. I can't believe this country.

Nate just dropped his model to 55% for Clinton. This is over. Donald Trump is going to be my President.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 09:06 PM) Anyone else would have destroyed Trump. Huh? This is happening because tiny counties came out in droves. You just posted the most inaccurate statement, sytatistically speaking, of all-time.

Nate holding strong with Hillary at 73% chance of winning still. 5 minutes ago.
-
QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 08:53 PM) Does Hilary have any chance at this point? Virginia and Michigan are important.

Nate "my career is over" Silver: 9:37 PM Clinton is leading by only a percentage point in Wayne County, Michigan. That’s a county Obama won by 48 percentage points. Either that result is wrong, a lot of the vote in Detroit (which is in Wayne County) is out, or the map is looking very different than it used to.

I'm going to hold out hope.

Watching msnbc is like watching people talk at a finial. This is a real scare, here

We are screwed.

I'm officially bedwetting.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 03:55 PM) I voted. I let my little girl help, so if anyone wants to start an inquisition into voter fraud start with me. You're the best.

QUOTE (Ezio Auditore @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 03:12 PM) I really did not expect turnout to be this high. Obama's record is 61%, so I'm gonna be keeping an eye on it, curious to see where this goes. Trump has activated folks on both sides.

QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 01:21 PM) If you're in line they should absolutely count and this should be dismissed. If they have some evidence that people were allowed in line after 7pm and those people cast their votes, they should not be. We have rules for a reason. This isn't 'Nam, Walter. The lawsuit only names precincts that are majority minority.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 09:20 AM) If Paul Manafort hadn't faked mechanical problems with Trump's plane and convinced Trump to take on Pence, Christie would be the VP candidate right now. He looks good. Christie and Giuliani come out the worst of the election season. Rudy was the 9/11 Country's Mayor whom everyone thought they adored. Now he's just a weirdo. I am ready to sit down with a cold one and consume election coverage all night long.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 09:17 AM) Before this campaign, I never liked Trump. I thought he was pompous obviously. I just never realized was a despicable human being he is. I just hope he gets trounced today. I thought he was funny on the first few seasons of The Apprentice but in a "hey, he can't hurt me kind of way." He's such a flipping child it's ridiculous.

My story is uneventful. Got to my polling place at 5:55 and hung out with the white haired's. There was a black guy in front of us and the guy behind me said "oh great, the blacks are voting". Jesus, people, this is Glen Ellyn! Anyway, uneventful beyond the fact that the people handing out the voter cards don't know what order letters are in the alphabet. I was out of there by 6:15.

QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 08:51 AM) I voted against it. I understand reasoning behind it, but to me the strict rules on things like that always come back and bite you. Imagine a huge flood where lawmakers couldn't move funds out of the road funds to relief funds. I, too, voted against it.

This is a real ad.

Everything about that game pissed me off. Except Wade being awesome. How do you lose with Wade and Butler getting 62 points?

QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 3, 2016 -> 01:55 PM) Are you exaggerating about not following the team anymore though? The only way I find out the evening's score is because I follow the team on Instagram.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 3, 2016 -> 12:52 PM) How does that even work? If you don't want bandwagon fans do you just not want your teams to win? I said I was being lame. I just feel like the essence of being a Blackhawks fan used to be about being obsessed about hockey. It felt like a club. Now it's just a bunch of fat white hillbillies in too-tight Chinese knockoff jerseys. The population reminds me of that of Trump's supporter base. Again, I'm being lame and my opinion is nowhere near the truth, but that's just how I perceive it. I just can't get into it anymore.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Nov 3, 2016 -> 06:02 AM) Oh my goodness. Nobody here has had a problem with the 8 billion bandwagon blackhawks fans that have emerged since 2010. gmab. To be fair, I do. So much so that now I don't really follow the team. I'm lame, I realize. For the Cubs, their fans are like Bears fans. Most of them don't know s***, but there's a ton of them! The White Sox are becoming extinct, however.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Nov 2, 2016 -> 05:05 PM) After a year and half of waiting, my team got new job titles/descriptions. During this time we were told that no one could be promoted or talk about promotions since they didn't have an accurate job title to move them into (yea...). Today I was told that I was getting promoted into one of the new job titles (yay!) but it wouldn't take effect until March during our normal ACR (annual compensation review) period. So I have two question for y'all: 1) Do I make a fuss about waiting another 4 months for this to go into effect? They already know I'm pretty upset about where I'm at currently (not just title but getting work dumped on and limited advancement opportunities outside of this team thus far). While I'm grateful to get promoted, it just seems asinine that they make you wait 1.5 years for new job titles then tack on 4 more months for really what is an arbitrary reason. 2) I've been looking at a lot of jobs externally, one big reason I wanted the title sooner is because it would make me WAY more attractive on the market. Do you guys think I could advertise that job title on a resume and if asked explain the situation? FYI the last time I was promoted was later in the year (closer to ACR season) and that didn't impact it at all except that they included the annual bump with my promotion's raise (tacked it on top). 1. Being told you're getting a promotion and getting a promotion are two very different things. Unless you've signed something confirming that on X day in March your title and compensation change, then this is just a promise you have to hope they'll keep. 2. Unless you've performed in a position, you shouldn't misrepresent yourself unless you don't plan on using anyone at your current company as a reference. I'd personally also expect your LinkedIn title to match your resume title.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 3, 2016 -> 08:51 AM) So, in the past 48 hours, we've had a church in Miss frequented by black people set on fire, an Islamic center in Florida vandalized with "F*** Islam" spraypainted on it, University of Wisconsin student from Saudi Arabia beaten to death in the street, 2 cops murdered by a guy who got kicked out of the football stadium next door for bringing a confederate flag, and one of the main KKK newspapers (which is apparently a thing that still exists) officially endorsed the Republican Nominee. Thanks Obama!
