QUOTE (Tony @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 08:20 PM) And no comment on Trump actually encouraging violence at his events the last month? This is where your mother when you were 4 would ask you if someone told you to jump off a bridge would you do it?

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 01:20 PM) So inside here's what went down. There were two dedicated sections to protestors. This was clearly planned. All the protestors just don't happen to all huddle up and sit right next to each other when they were in the 1000s. This was the main concern of security and what ultimately shut down the event. They were chanting BERNIE BERNIE BERNIE BERNIE throughout. I'm not denying there were other groups there just that this was the primary reason for concern. NBC WaPo Here's moveon themselves explaining what went down: https://twitter.com/ArielCohen37/status/708477056384901120 It's all well documented they were the primary people behind this. I'm not sure what the controversy is. Forget facts. They are silly.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 12:50 PM) Lol what? That's hilarious. Every person who doesn't want to put up with blatant racism and oppression and decided to protest was because of Sanders? I mean to believe that is amazing. I'd think a hippy, pot smoking, liberal til I die like you would be familiar with moveon.org. Please note, I'm a liberal. Just not a blind one. #feelthebern

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 12:43 PM) Trump has been challenging the first amendment rights of people in this country for months. Last night people finally got sick of it And what does Bernie Sanders have to do with anything? Such a weird statement You're missing the point. Trump is an idiot and will never be elected. Suddenly a bunch of teenagers who have been lied to about free college have decided a politician cannot have a rally. Last night I realized this country is just completely spiraling. It's disappointing, and I'm embarrassed for my country and the city I hold so dear.
-
The First Amendment is not the one I'd hoped would be challenged this election season. Last night was an embarrassment and against everything this country stands for - or at least I thought. f*** anyone who supports Bernie Sanders right now.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 06:59 PM) Surprise surprise, the Hawks are in another outdoor game. January 2 at St. Louis Well I'm going to that for sure.

QUOTE (Charlie Haeger's Knuckles @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 02:05 PM) Never trust a man with two first names. Sox should take a hard pass on Jay Bruce. EDIT: wait.... Frank Thomas. Nevermind. I adore this post.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 02:18 PM) is this record generated by The Show playing this season 100 times and averaging it out Generated by my brain while playing the Show and realizing we don't have a bunch of corpses on the roster anymore. This is a legit team with some real mid-season boost potential due to high-ceiling prospects possibly coming up (ie Fulmer and Anderson). The addition of Jackson was so important to this team. It gives us another guy who actually belongs in the bigs in case LaRoche predictably doesn't bounce back. This team is really quite solid, and the pitching staff is amazing. There's no reason Rodon can't take a massive leap this year, either. -
Any new Bears rumors? I figured some s*** would be going down by now.

Empirical evidence that the Sox will be good this year

QUOTE (Charlie Haeger's Knuckles @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 01:01 PM) 2016 comes out in a few weeks. But, I doubt I can nag/bribe my wife for her to "allow" me to buy ANOTHER game. Last week it was Primal... then yesterday, I dropped $90 on the gold edition of The Division. Maybe I'll wait it out for a used copy. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 01:48 PM) I always sell the old "The Show" games in Jamiary/February on ebay and get around $20 for them. It feels like a discount for the next one. My bday is also in mid-March and mostly get cash for my bday (besides from my gf) so that also helps. I downloaded updated OS rosters about a week ago and am loving it. -

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 01:52 PM) Since hipsters started going to buffets. Incorrect. A buffet is a place you go to to eat garbage food with no limits for a set fee. Hotbars charge by the pound. They are overpriced, but they are also amazing, and the food is of much higher quality if you go to the right places.
-
QUOTE (raBBit @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 01:39 PM) What does a hotbar entail? You live in Chicago and you don't know what a hotbar is? The best hotbar around is contained in the newer Whole Foods. They all have good ones, but some of the best eats are at the Whole Foods in Schaumburg. A hotbar is simply a bunch of pre-made food of various types. You make a plate of a bunch of tasties and away you go.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 09:21 AM) Huh, I never made the connection. Thanks Mr Obvious, you're a lifesaver. haha Also of note from these games - the first one Austin Jackson started in CF he robbed a homerun for me. I've been playing The Show since 09 and have NEVER robbed a homerun. Clearly we will win all the games this year. -
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 09:00 AM) Do I count as a non-bandwagoner when I started watching all sports in 2nd grade (including hockey), although that happened to be in 2006/2007? I had no idea you were like 15. I believe you get a pass.

QUOTE (LDF @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 12:02 PM) it is bout time to get a 2nd opinion. edit~~ what will the bulls do if Andrews comes back and with xrays, say something bad. i wonder what the bulls will do ummmm I imagine they will not fire anyone related to their problems. It is what they do. They only fire top 5 NBA coaches.
-
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 12:01 PM) I think the Bulls should fire all their trainers/doctors. This s*** is getting old. If they put his ass back on the court with something bad... seriously there needs to be tons of heads rolling. It never ends with these idiots.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 12:00 PM) Apparently when it rains, it pours. Vincent Goodwill @vgoodwill Butler is out for tomorrow. Going to see Dr. James Andrews for second opinion Oh boy.

I wish the Jimmy Graham report were real. Too good to be true.

QUOTE (LDF @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 08:45 AM) bandwagoner or not, when people goes to a chi blackhawk game, no matter what era, you become hooked. Disagreed. I took many a friend to Hawks games in the late 90s and early 00s and they were bored out of their minds watching a bad team in an empty arena lose 3-0. I was unable to get any of them hooked.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Mar 8, 2016 -> 11:30 PM) Steve doesn't just give out his PSN willy nilly I think the days of playing WITH randos on the internet are long gone. I'll play battlefront with friends, but the Show is a s*** experience online, and I'd rather compile the stats over the course of a season than battle it out in the glitchy The Show online experience. -
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Mar 9, 2016 -> 12:59 AM) *Sigh* This isn't isn't the first time I've been for some reason "forced" to claim my fandom to you. I don't know why you insist I was never a fan growing up, but I'll play your stupid little game for more than just the first time.... Favorite players growing up were Daze, Zhamnov, Ruutu, Probert (Because he fought and wore my hockey number, 24), Amonte, Cullimore. Favorite moment other than trying to catch the McDonald's coupons that floated down from the RC blimps that dropped them around the stadium was seeing Gretzky's last game at the United Center, in a skybox, when he was with....the Rangers maybe? I want to say he or someone got a hat-trick that game because I remember everyone flinging their "mousepad" giveaway on to the ice. Cullimore? FAIL! Just kidding. I grant you a pass. You may proceed posting as a non-bandwagoner, now.

Damn. That Kane kid was just showing promise, too.
