  1. QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 08:40 AM) ..i dont know, ozzie doesnt seem to be too thrilled with owens, based on his comments about owens being called up the other day. im sure ba will be the starter but i hope we dont see much of owens...i guess we'll see what happens.>great interview with ozzie btw, rerun at 11pm Love the Pods avatar.
  2. QUOTE (103 mph screwball @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 08:39 AM) Interesting theory about PED's and SS's. Ripkin seemed to start the big shortstop trend. Maybe there will be more Ozzie type SS than Ripkin's. Historically a guy like Guillen is what defined the shortstop position moreso than a Ripken (not many out there like him, though I'm not accusing him of anything). The last 15 years made a lot of people forget what the position is...
  3. Per the usual, I believe we'll be worrying about the Twins all year, and the Tribe once again will suck.
  4. QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 06:55 AM) He can be tossed in with Everett and the Alomar brothers jokes now. Not really, since he didn't cost us anything this time around.
  5. The only way you could improve upon it is to hire John Rooney and pair him with Farmer again... for TV. Hawk + Stone is great.
  6. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 14, 2009 -> 07:29 PM) There are literally zero great SS in the AL right now. It's sad, but based on stats from last year, Alexei Ramirez is the best offensive shortstop in the American League right now. Looking at these other SS, it looks pathetic. It's a wonder what cracking down on PEDs does. Gone are the days of freaks like Tejada and A-Rod making the position something it's not. Keep Alexei at short. He's phenomenal there.
  7. QUOTE (RibbieRubarb @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 08:28 AM) Come on over here 2005 team! I'll cradle the balls, stroke the shaft, work the pipe, and swallow the gravy. Get it over here, 2005. Let's do this!!
  8. Of course he'd be worth it. Many guys out there would be better fits than what we have. I doubt any of them happens though.
  9. Yeah, I'd expect a 2 or 3 start. http://www.weather.com/weather/hourbyhour/...pnav_undeclared
  10. I understand all of you who think Pods should not be given 22 back. However, he is a huge part of this franchise. I'd be shocked if Fields didn't offer the number back or offer to switch back to #27.
  11. QUOTE (kev211 @ Apr 14, 2009 -> 04:26 PM) When Josh Fields hits a walk off homer in a world series game he can wear it. Until then it rightfully belongs to Podsednik.
  12. QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ Apr 13, 2009 -> 08:45 PM) and lol @ Steve's avi... thats wrong... yet it still makes me laugh. heh and NICE a google image search nets a nipslip!
  13. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Apr 14, 2009 -> 03:50 PM) Whenever you say something like that I automatically think that Dweezy from your avatar is yelling that. Quite hilarious
  14. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 14, 2009 -> 03:47 PM) Pods isn't going to be around more than a month or 2. Fields keeps the number. F*ck. That.
  15. Scott Podsednik hit a walk off homerun in the World Series. Out of respect, Fields had best offer that s*** up, and Pods had best take it.
  16. QUOTE (BobDylan @ Apr 14, 2009 -> 03:33 PM) Awesome. Makes me wonder what types of military technology the country has today that we don't know about. Blowjob Machines.
  17. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 14, 2009 -> 02:07 PM) Why the f*** do people read bleacher report? It's some of the dumbest s*** on the internet. I have no idea why google news links to that god forsaken site. That.
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 14, 2009 -> 11:51 AM) Pod>Wise>Owens. It isn't ideal, but it is an improvement. Exactly.
  19. Any word on when Saturday's game will be? I scored some tix and am stoked!
  20. He went an inning, gave up no runs, a hit, and had a strike out. Absolutely hilarious.
  21. It was way cooler when it was by choice. This is just stupid.
