  1. Their staff blows. I doubt Porcello is ready, Verlander is forever overrated, Jackson had a 1.51 WHIP last year and his ERA will probably approach 5. The only one I like somewhat is Galarraga.
  2. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 2, 2009 -> 11:41 AM) Sure you're going to have to give up value. That's a given. That doesn't mean you pre-lube your asshole though. I don't think 3 picks and a player is too much at all. So we trade our 1st rounder? Great, now JA can't blow it.
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 2, 2009 -> 10:31 AM) I know it wont be mentioned on here but Soup had a pretty good game last night as did most of the defense. I liked their agressive work in the middle of the ice. He did stand out last night. C'mon Rock, you and I stand by our boy.
  4. QUOTE (bschmaranz @ Apr 2, 2009 -> 10:00 AM) If only for the nostalgia, yes, bring him back. Start him in center too. An armless hooker is as good defensively in center as Wise so what the hell. Best avatar on the site and best post in this thread. You are 2 for 2.
  5. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Apr 2, 2009 -> 09:12 AM) I believe Pods was released/cut by Colorado yesterday or day before. He is available Hence the thread.

    LOST!!!!

I think this season has been pretty sweet. Last night, my wife and I were like "this is boring", but then again, any episode about Kate is... boring. Next week's will blow our minds and we'll all be slurping Lost again. It's going to rule.
  8. QUOTE (rangercal @ Apr 1, 2009 -> 06:26 PM) Gotta love Corey BLUNT
  9. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 2, 2009 -> 08:31 AM) especially when Denver has NO leverage. Yeah, it's not like 10+ teams are knocking on the door or anything...
  10. Last night's game was a good sign. The Hawks thoroughly dominated a team that has given them trouble all year. Bolland's injury may have been a blessing in disguise, because mixing the lineups seems to have made a difference. Not many teams can put a more talented lineup out there than Kane - Toews - Havlat. I am concerned with what I perceive to be an extreme lack of confidence in Patrick Kane right now. He's getting himself good looks, and just isn't scoring. Kid's still ridiculously young, and can bounce back, but he's been really bad the last 7 or so games. Hopefully last night and getting a point will have him bouncing back, because lately he looks no better than Stevie Sullivan. I'm know Kane's ceiling is high, and he's only going to get better, so I'm not worried. He just needs a pure goal-scorer on his line... you know, the one we clamored for at the deadline. (See Guerin, Tkachuk, etc)
  11. QUOTE (BearSox @ Apr 1, 2009 -> 10:25 PM) Think about the possibility of this being the rest of our offseason: -Sign Pace, Holt, and Lucas. -Trade our 1st and 3rd this year, a conditional pick in 2010 that can become a 1st rounder (automatically a 2nd or 3rd round pick no matter what), Orton, and one of Vasher, McBride or Graham (whichever one Denver feels would be the best fit, I think it would be Graham) for Cutler. I think/hope that would get the deal done. That's jizz worthy right there. I'd masturbate immediately due to the amount I'd be turned on...
  12. This has been a really enjoyable game so far... the Hawks could easily have 5 or 6 goals already.
  13. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Apr 1, 2009 -> 04:47 PM) The Marlins really needed a left handed bat off the bench, I know their fans aren't too excited though. Idiots!
  14. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Apr 1, 2009 -> 03:05 PM) I have found out in the last 3 weeks that Steve drinks and posts a lot For once, no drinking. Unless Diet Coke counts.
  15. I'd be surprised if we didn't at least inquire.
  16. He was released today. He looked good in Spring Training... including against us. He had a .381 OBP. I know he's not exactly Torii Hunter in CF (or even remotely so), but it's time to re-marry the ex, so to speak. Many will be against me in this, but I ask you... for leading off for the White Sox, do you prefer Pods or Wise? Easy answer in my book.
  17. The Sox should sign him and start him in center god dammit.
  18. MLB needs to come up with caps based on position, much like the NBA.
  19. Ha, I expected one of these today. If it were pinned it'd be more convincing MODS.
  20. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 1, 2009 -> 08:50 AM) I buy used cars, go to strip clubs and re-mortgage my home. F***ing awesome.
  21. QUOTE (rangercal @ Mar 31, 2009 -> 09:45 PM) Maybe it wasn't a good counter, but it has as much merit as all of you the last couple pages. You guys sound like a bunch of whiny old men. Dude, you are nuts. You spend two days publicly backing VDN, and then he goes out there and coaches a terrible game, especially with 4 seconds left, and he shows exactly why he's the wrong fit for this team. We needed two points, so his big play is once again to have Ben Gordon run around beyond the 3 point line (like the other coach didn't know this would happen). You CAN have set plays in the NBA, but VDN refuses to draw them up.
  22. Another classic VDN give it to Gordon have him run around and chuck up a terrible shot play to end the game. Such incredible gameplanning. Heaven forbid we have a set play with 4 seconds left.
