From reading so many reviews of Watchmen, it sounds to me like everyone who read the comic book (come on, graphic novel, get the f*** outta here) is "eh" because it didn't blow their minds and it didn't bring anything new to the story (why would you want it to?), but everyone who doesn't even know what it's about is completely captivated by this incredibly original story with amazing visuals. Thank goodness for the ad-time purchased during The Office and 30 Rock last night, as I was able to convince the wife that we have to see this movie and on opening night, because why the hell not and what else is going on on March 6! I'll let you all know what I think around midnight.

Beckham is awesome, but this quote made me sad. He was speaking of Harold Baines. He has a little more education to go through and to get to the "T" section of White Sox player history. Lovin' Beckham though.

I didn't think we were that desperate for a center... he's obviously not a two-way player and certainly racks up the negative +/- on strong teams. I don't really care that Wiz is gone, but unless DT has been after this guy awhile and he's just been stuck on the 4th line even though he's talented, I don't get this one. He's got mono, he's a -45, and he's 32. What's the point? He'd better be hella-amazing at faceoffs.
