Benjamin Linus, no question.

Well it's official. You're good at these, Jeremy.

Unfortunately, someone decided to move the thread to The Diamond Club, even though the information basically means we just acquired two draft picks. I think the thread should be moved back to Palehose Talk.

ST Game: 3/02 Sox vs. Mariners (2:05 CT)
Steve9347 replied to joejoesox's topic in 2009 Season in Review
I must say, I'm loving DJ on the radio. We're getting the FOX Saturday broadcast DJ and not the yeehaw I grew up in New York but I'm talking like Hawk DJ. I'm glad he's still around and I still get to hear his voice. He + Farmio is actually quite entertaining thus far. -
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 01:46 PM) About as good of an outcome as we could have expected to this situation in my opinion. Happy to hear the news.

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 11:34 AM) Oh yeah, and this thread ends with John Locke. Why does it have to end at all? Oh and Benjamin Linus > John Locke

I like Dotel and think he's quite good. It might have something to do with the day I got drunk with him and smoked cigars. But I like him.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 10:40 AM) That's what I thought plus wouldn't OC have to agree to all this? Maybe not though Well, duh, he'd have to sign the contract. If it got him a job of course he'd do it.

QUOTE (jenks45monster @ Mar 1, 2009 -> 07:53 PM) Travis Snider for OC straight up would be nice. What are you on? I want some.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Feb 28, 2009 -> 09:13 AM) I dont think it is anywhere. I waited last night on sportsnight and they just talked about it, no video highlights That's funny, I watched SportsNite and got the highlights. That was the only one they showed. Plus power to opposite field; he killed it. The boy is definitely carrying some weight, his ass is Thomas-esque, and he wears the uni baggy. I think he might be our Opening Day starter at 3B. -
League is full, but if you would like to fill out an app and get on the waiting list, you are more than welcome.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Feb 25, 2009 -> 09:29 AM) I'm gonna get involved and take the Blue Jays if that's cool, it'll gimme something to do at work for the next 2 months anyways. We'd like to have you. If you have OOTP 6 or 6.5 come on in and register... the Blue Jays are a good choice with nice prospects.
-
QUOTE (Fotop @ Feb 25, 2009 -> 09:02 AM) Even though they pretty much blow, I wouldn't mind taking a crack at the Astros...if only to take out the Cubs at some point. Think I have a license for OOTP 6.5 somewhere...would have to search for it, but I'm interested. What's the details? Register on the board and read the rules. It's going to be quite realistic.

We have a 2009 league open that needs to more GMs. Starting from scratch, with rosters updated to yesterday... SSBL Boards SSBL Rosters The Blue Jays and Astros remain.

Official 2008-2009 NHL Thread
Steve9347 replied to whitesoxbrian's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Our struggles against the Central are truly odd, but I'm not too worried. We were due for a stinker at the end of that stretch of road games. We finish playing like 80% of our games at home... good times. -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 25, 2009 -> 02:55 AM) The tone around here has changed dramatically of late. Does everyone still want John Paxson fired yesterday? Or did all it take was a decent 12-game stretch to get everybody giddy? I said after the deadline, Paxson is a stronger GM because of how bad things got. No longer will he be dedicated to a core but to winning. Honest, I don't think there is a team out there that is as deep as the Bulls. They could have beaten anyone playing the way they did last night. There's a lot of talent on that team, unfortunately we're one more supserstar from contending. However, it's nice to see Tim Thomas getting some run, considering how Skiles dogged him last time. The only negative I can see from the recent game is the fact that Luol Deng continues to degress, and is probably the 7th or 8th best Bull at this point. -
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 25, 2009 -> 02:13 AM) I'll boo him. He's a Twinkie, reason enough to boo anyone. So foolish. I'll cheer Joe Crede until he retires.

Let's go Sox!! The sweet sounds of Spring Training begin today!

Well, I likely just made a huge mistake and pre-ordered MLB 2k9 for Wii. Inferior Wii graphics - check No online - check No picture of Viciedo - most likely check Tons of missing players and likely hours of edits before playing - check 4 homers in the first inning like every other MLB 2k game - most likely check Still having white piping on the black jersies, 5 years after it was first pointed out as incorrect - most likely check But hey, I get to use the Wiimote and act like I'm pitching and hitting!

"The Final Countdown" - Europe I would also use a Segway to get to the batter's box.
