  1. QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Feb 16, 2009 -> 03:38 PM) talk about bold lol That's the idea!
  2. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Feb 16, 2009 -> 02:58 PM) The Bulls don't have a deal to match that. However, that was reportedly a trade proposed by the Suns and rejected by the Griz. Yeah, a week ago lol.
  3. I will lose it... I will emotionally lose it if we land Amare AND J-Rich. Hell, I'll lose it if we land Amare. I heard a rumor that we might be getting Steve Harnden-favorite Matt Barnes in the deal as well. IT REALLY SOUNDS LIKE THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN, SO IM REALLY GOING TO BE PISSED WHEN IT DOESN'T.
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 14, 2009 -> 10:42 PM) Carlos Quentin Ryan Braun Alex Rodriguez CC Sabathia Cole Hamels That's where it's at right there, by the way.
  5. QUOTE (SoxFan101 @ Feb 16, 2009 -> 08:25 AM) They should just change the rule, teams shouldnt be penalized for improving their teams, if you lose a f/a and its type A should just get a supplemental pick after 1st round. Exactly. That makes perfect sense.
  6. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Feb 16, 2009 -> 07:59 AM) Eh, his brother trying to bring him back to earth, him crying when he went to sleep. While it was funny, the scene with the bartender in the backroom was pretty crazy Well, his reaction to his brother certainly wasn't serious. Either way, this is seeming like a highly enjoyable show!
  7. I didn't see the serious parts... It has SERIOUS potential, but that's about it. I really enjoyed this episode.
  8. Eh, its too early for us to care. If he's pitching as well as I expect him to be in 2011, he'll obviously still be in the majors and on the South Side.
  9. Please God let Amare become a Bull. He + Rose + Deng is such a phenomenal, young foundation...
  10. I've been waiting for this for some time... Will Ferrill and Craig Robinson have cameos if that gets others interested.
  11. QUOTE (rangercal @ Feb 15, 2009 -> 12:03 AM) this already started? Well, we consumate deals whenever possible haha. This just involves the keepers we have.
  12. Carlos Quentin Ryan Braun Alex Rodriguez CC Sabathia Cole Hamels
  13. TRADE!!! I get CC Sabathia Knightni gets Felix Hernandez and Nick Markakis Thanks, knight.
  14. I f***ing hate Bud Selig. MLB players have been cheating for decades... since the dawn of the game. If you take out these records you'd better remove anyone who was ever on amphetamines or used a corked bat or anything of that nature.
  15. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 12, 2009 -> 03:34 PM) Nor does it count as a make, which is my point. I want to know how many game winning opportunities has he converted (going to the line and sinking a couple free throws should count too). If you get SI, open up the one with A-Rod on the cover and go to the Player poll. It outlines this entire subject perfectly. I'm at work, so I don't have it handy. The end result was, people think Kobe's great at it, but Lebron statistically is on another planet.
  16. When Viciedo hits his 51st homer of the year, you will all understand Kenny's master plan.
  17. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 12, 2009 -> 03:22 PM) He may miss a high percentage, but he also ends up going to the line quite often as well. No one is going to tell me that right now if the game was on the line that they would want anyone other than Kobe with the ball in there hands. If he's fouled on a missed shot, it does not count as an attempt. I'll take Lebron at the end of the game over Kobe any day.

  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 12, 2009 -> 10:52 AM) There's actually been some reasonable discussion on this topic at a number of basketblogs over the last week. If you had to pick one guy in the league to take the shot in the last 24 seconds, who'd you pick. No brainer, Kobe right? Guess what Kobe's FG %age on those shots is over the last couple years? 25%. League wide, the average on last second shots is only 30%. Gordon hits about 35%, which is actually a fair amount above average. So to respond to your claim that Gordon isn't the guy for those shots, if he isn't, then very few people around the league are. The interesting reality of this is that the whole league sucks in those situations. 30% is terrible, and that can't just be from people taking 3's or because of defense, that suggests that the offenses people are trying to run are vastly less effective than the offenses teams run during the normal part of the game. In other words, the question shouldn't be "Who do you want taking the last shot", the question ought to be how are you going to create the last shot and make it a good one. Defense doesn't just get that much better at the last second. More reading 1 More reading 2 Yeah, players in the league had a poll on this in the newest SI, and Kobe ran away with it, despite being nowhere near the best.
  21. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Feb 12, 2009 -> 10:05 AM) Idea from the Trib.... Last shot of the game, who ya got, Rose or Gordon? if the game was tonight, I'd say Gordon -- as long as he doesn't have to dribble or create for himself. Gordon has proven consistently that he's not that guy. I'd go to Deng personally, with a mid-ranger.
  22. I'm looking to move BJ Upton and Felix Hernandez for a very good SP. Hit me up.
  23. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Feb 12, 2009 -> 02:24 AM) The "Baseball's Seasons" show is awesome. They showed 1993 today and it was great watching the Sox highlights and the ALCS. Yeah I DVR'd that and enjoyed it last night.
