QUOTE (Texsox @ Jan 5, 2009 -> 08:58 AM) If anyone decided to see . . . Benjamin Button, resists the urge to walk out after the first 30 minutes. The final two hours was breathtaking . Seriously, I like chick flicks, with a chick, and this one did not disappoint. They "solved" some of the reality to movie issues in a rather pleasing way. It's no more a chick-flick than Forrest Gump. What was wrong with the first thirty minutes?

Eagle Eye was 2 hours worth of too much budget, not enough script.
  3. QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Jan 2, 2009 -> 10:17 PM) New York also has the Fantastic 4, the Incredible Hulk, and Daredevil, and The Punisher ...and about 90% of the rest of the movies that are made. Chicago has the Fugitive!
  4. He hit .158 last year. No team in their right mind would take that bogus contract.
  5. You can close this thread, as it's obviously bulls***.
  6. QUOTE (JoeBatterz @ Jan 2, 2009 -> 01:57 PM) Maybe he can derail their drive to 72. They already did that by losing 3 of their last 4 games...
  7. It's lame that Comcast doesn't carry it in HD.

QUOTE (shipps @ Jan 1, 2009 -> 07:59 PM) Dammit Steve! Now the rotation of the earth is knocked off its f***in axis! I hated it and I have pretty much agreed with every movie review you have ever done. Now your probably gonna tell me you thought Yes Man was the most hilarious movie you ever seen. I don't plan on seeing Yes Man. My mind is blown that anyone could not enjoy CCoBB. I thought it was a masterpiece.
  9. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 1, 2009 -> 02:12 PM) So they're going to be switching sides half way through this period, right? I wish they weren't. The wind sure does give the team a huge advantage.
  10. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Dec 31, 2008 -> 04:35 PM) NBA 2k9 is fricking amazing It's the ONLY reason I miss my 360.
  11. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 31, 2008 -> 10:19 AM) It's nice to be able to stream a movie over the net from my ps3 while at a family gathering. Yes, we wouldn't want to have to visit with loved ones, would we? Better watch The Big Lebowski for the 9th time instead!
  12. I refuse to click on that "sneak peak". I've waited this long, 6 more days won't kill me.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is easily one of the best movies I have ever seen.
  14. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Dec 30, 2008 -> 11:22 AM) Right now for Thursday according to weather.com- 37 with snow showers. 37>32 32=freezing 37+ice=melt? 37+cold ground=fog I honestly wanted to sell these from the start but never got around to it. I wanted to watch it on my TV (inbetween periods watch Georgia/MSU) and then watch USC obliterate Penn State. Hopefully by the time I get home the USC game is still going on. You could sell the tickets to me for face.
  15. Shanahan being canned is pretty surprising. At least now I don't have to completely avoid Denver RBs next year in fantasy.
  16. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Dec 30, 2008 -> 03:28 PM) Am I the only one that doesn't like the "dark" batman. I like my comic book movies lighthearted. I've really disliked almost every recent comic book movie with the exception of the Spiderman movies. I think you would definitely fall in the minority with your opinion.
  17. I really figured this was for Barthold, not Pierzynski!
  18. QUOTE (lostfan @ Dec 30, 2008 -> 11:15 AM) The 360 is not done with exclusives, I don't know who is saying that. They are focused on Sony as their competition, not so much Nintendo... Really? Have you missed the print, television, Internet, and everywhere else non-stop advertising of the 360 having over 200 family titles? They are trying to compete with the Wii, but their only family games suck ass and are crappy cartoon movie ports. A $15 game available through Wii's download service (World of Goo) is more original and fun, in my opinion, than any sort of exclusive XBOX 360 can come up with.
  19. QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 30, 2008 -> 11:59 AM) The funny thing about it. You can actually see Aaron Eckhart breathe a few times just as they pan the camera over to him. Not all of the actors who appeared in this movie actually wound up dead! On another note, how f***ing s***ty were the special features for this film? I mean, I'd pay $50 just for some screen tests with Ledger and s***, why did they give me two short, boring documentaries and those stupid Gothan Tonight shorts? Ugh. I adore the movie, but I expected more out of the special features.
  20. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Dec 29, 2008 -> 05:03 PM) So what did Santa bring? 6000 Wii Points (so far used for World of Goo, Super Mario Bros 1 & 3, and Bubble Bobble, 3000 remain Shaun White Snowboarding Super Paper Mario Tiger Woods 09 All-Play These games are fantastic.

QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Dec 30, 2008 -> 09:21 AM) I'm on the "you pissed off a friend" train myself. However, did you sign up for something newish online recently? It's possible that they are selling your information to these things. That's what I am thinking.
