Eddie Murphy as the Riddler? EW's take. I was iffy about Ledger as Joker, but this one would be inexcusable. I highly doubt he plays the Riddler.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 18, 2008 -> 12:06 AM) Good to know you had a great time. People make fun of the "wine and cheese" crowds at the UC, but I love going to Bulls games. Bulls games are packed front to back with entertainment. Always a good time. It's unfortunate Pax refuses to make any trades that might help this team. I get almost short of breath thinking about how long ago we should have moved Tyrus or Kirk. I'm sure he could have found a taker for Kirk this offseason if he wasn't Kirk-shaped dildos (including ears!) up his ass because he loves the underachieving turds he's drafted. -
No long-term extension talks for Bobby Jenks
Steve9347 replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The wisest decision this team could make would be to move Bobby for a couple of prospects or find the most interested suitor. If Kenny wants to win me over again this winter, he will trade Jenks for a decent return that some will label not enough. I like Bobby, but he's a 1-inning closer. -
Cabrera probably WON'T go to the Dodgers

I didn't like Cabrera's attitude, but he wasn't terrible this year... he was our 3rd most reliable hitter behind CQ and Dye. -

QUOTE (rangercal @ Dec 17, 2008 -> 04:28 PM) Dbaho is right. If Tyrus played like that every night, it would take the Bulls to the next level. (he won't) We lost because Rose got schooled by Augustine and the refs were bobcat fans. The refs being "bobcat fans" or not shouldn't have had any effect. We lost to an NBA D League team that was missing it's best player. -

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Dec 17, 2008 -> 02:12 PM) I think TT is the type of player who can take the Bulls to the next level, and with his play over the past couple of games, I think Del Negro has realized that now, even with their issues so far. Excellent point. Sure, they lost to a roster that should win no more than 20 games that played WITHOUT it's best player, but you're right, when Tyrus plays like that, we go to the next level. Reality check: WTF are you talking about? -
QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Dec 17, 2008 -> 03:41 PM) What is 'Seven Pounds' about? What is the 7 lbs. reference? The heart? The brain? I believe it's a reference to Shakespeare's 7 pounds of flesh. Probably 7 organ donations.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Dec 17, 2008 -> 03:23 PM) How about a sandwich loaded with hotsauce? That should warn people about eating another person's food. A better idea.

QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Dec 17, 2008 -> 03:20 PM) One solution for that theft problem: Make a dog s*** sandwhich, wrap it in foil and then a plastic bag. Set that bad boy front and center in the office fridge. That is pure genius. And also a fireable offense.

QUOTE (bschmaranz @ Dec 17, 2008 -> 02:24 PM) It's on the air on Comcast right now. Of course, they've got a show on about the Red Sox and Yankees. Is there an HD version available?

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 17, 2008 -> 01:24 PM) Why? it changes nothing, the guy still cannot recover from injuries and is injury prone. He still doesnt have the energy to play everyday. Um, because the problem he has can be cured, thus he WILL have the energy.

I now 100% want the Sox to sign Rocco Baldelli.

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Dec 17, 2008 -> 11:56 AM) Free agent Rocco Baldelli no longer has the sometimes fatal mitochondrial disorder but now has been diagnosed with the less severe and treatable channelopathy. What this means to his career path is unknown but it's much more encouraging than it was. Where did you hear that? That's awesome.

I sure hope no one signs Peter Forsberg during yet another comeback. What a joke, he wants to sign with a team "right before the playoffs"... the NHL needs a rule like MLB has in regards to playoff rosters. -
QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Dec 16, 2008 -> 02:14 PM) Beef-a-Roo double-cheeseburger = best burger ever. They also have the best fries. I can second this... their cheddar fries are out of this world.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Dec 17, 2008 -> 09:19 AM) Noah was basically going to be a poor man's Anderson Varejao, and nothing has changed there it seems. I'd take Varejao right now, but poor man's varejao is uuuugly. -

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Dec 16, 2008 -> 10:44 PM) So Showtime and I were at the game Sunday, and were talking about what Tallon could do. A name that we both brought up that hasn't really been mentioned is Modano. -Dallas is TERRIBLE this season, and it doesn't look they are going to be able to put it together in a tough Western Conference. -Modano is signed for this year and next. Certainly not a contract killer. -I'm a little shady on how is contract is structured. He has a cap hit of 3.45 this season, but is only making "2.25" in salary. A deal I wouldn't be opposed to is Modano for Byfuglien and maybe a mid round pick. The cap hits actually might work, as Buff is pulling down 3 million, and is still only 23(something Dallas could have an interest in. I'm not a huge Modano guy, but I think he would fill the 2nd line center role nicely, and bring that veteran presence this team really needs. Sharp-Toews-Kane Versteeg-Modano-Havlat Ladd-Bolland-Brouwer Eager-Fraser-Burish I wouldn't be against this. His $2.25 mill salary is easily managable, and he's showing some life. I presume he's next to untradeable as he's spent his entire career in the Stars/NorthStars organization. I really doubt they'd move him just like the RedWings never moved Stevie Y. -
QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Dec 16, 2008 -> 10:40 PM) Hmmmmmm, speculatively-speaking, is there any possibility that we can ask for a little more and get Heyward along with Escobar for Jenks? Just speculatively-speaking... If you can you do it, but they'd be nuts to do that.

Given the current depth on this team and the progression of the youngsters, I'm starting to think signing Sundin would be a bad idea. Play it out with Bulin and Huet and see if someone gets hot enough to carry you to a Cup. I'd cry for days with happiness. -
