QUOTE (Sox1422 @ Dec 16, 2008 -> 08:19 AM) cross him off the list. I was unaware he was ever on the list.

QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 15, 2008 -> 04:17 PM) True. That fish had it coming... The person below me enjoys a good can of corn. True, especially when it's off opposing team's bats. The person below me prefers Coke products to Pepsi products.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 15, 2008 -> 02:50 PM) 30 Rock has been pretty weak this season IMO. I loved the high school reunion. I think it has been quite good until last week's episode.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Dec 15, 2008 -> 12:10 PM) The amalgam series was awesome for sure. IIRC it was Superman/Captain America, Batman/Wolverine, and for some wierd reason Spiderman/Superboy. There are some more I am forgetting. Plus, the comics that led up to the amalgam universe was even better with the DC vs Marvel battles. Yes, I absolutely adored them at the time. They were really cool.

QUOTE (watchtower41 @ Dec 15, 2008 -> 12:02 PM) Am I missing something, I could have sworn I heard that Sundin signed with Philly over the weekend. You are definitely missing something. Rumor has it the Rangers are the frontrunners with 3 other teams including the Hawks behind. -

Marion Gaborik is going to be back soon, and with that the Wild are looking to move him. He would be a very nice addition. -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 15, 2008 -> 11:17 AM) Have I missed something? Shaq/Amare/Barnes/Hill/Lopez/Dudley is as good a frontcourt you'll find in the NBA. Well, yes, Amare is good, but I don't see much defense being played in that setup. Just because you play a SF in Barnes at PF doesn't make him a good PF. As far as talking about interior defense, none of those guys do that. That is the definition of a frontcourt mess. Amare needs a premiere defender next to him, and the Suns certainly don't have that. Diesel plays half the games, Robin Lopez sucks, Grant Hill is not a front court player, Jared Dudley is Jared f***ing Dudley. Amare puts up blocks, but he doesn't exactly play great defense either. Did I mention Robin Lopez sucks? -
QUOTE (G&T @ Dec 14, 2008 -> 08:49 AM) Which is strange because he seems to be doing a good job. I haven't heard any complaints about him. Of course, SNL decided to make fun of him for being blind which is pretty low. Dude, he has a laundry list of things he's done... hence the entire sketch.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Dec 15, 2008 -> 11:00 AM) I'm probably going to trade in my Wii in a few months actually. Have sort of stopped playing it, and I'm more of a serious gamer anyways. Don't trade it at a GameStop, you'll never get your money's worth. Heck, folks on Craig's List are willing to trade PS3's for Wii's right now, so definitely look at alternative options. You would rake in good money on eBay as well.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Dec 15, 2008 -> 10:57 AM) Hearing Nash in the press today, I think it's basicaly a lock he joins D'Antoni in New York in 2010, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if Amare joined him. Richardson is a good pick up for the Suns though, but as Steve said, they're short on front court depth, and they need Robin Lopez to develop in a hurry. The Magic are going for 4 for 5 on their West Coast Road Trip against Golden State tonight. Dwight Howard's knee has to be concerning. As for Nash, I doubt the Knicks have much interest in 2010. He'll be, what? 36? -
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 15, 2008 -> 10:56 AM) That's what makes the British version so much better. Most of the episodes now include implausible scenarios. No longer a can't miss show for me. Eh, Andy Bernard still makes it a must DVR for me.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Dec 15, 2008 -> 10:48 AM) yeah it was too ridiculous, i dunno....something about that show has declined in my mind...its still worth watching every week, but not nearly as funny as it was 3 years 2 years ago That would be because it has gone over the top, but unfortunately it was the subtle things that used to make it so great.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Dec 15, 2008 -> 10:12 AM) How did they explain the lack of regeneration for his hand? I don't believe Logan ever had regenerative powers like a gecko when it loses it's tail or whatever. If a limb or part of a limb is gone, his healing factor can't regrow it... rather his healing factor is just a super accelerated form of any human's ability to heal. This made him a possibility for the Weapon X Project because he would heal quickly. However, re-growing a hand not so much. If I recall (it was a really long time ago), he did discover in that series that his adamantium claws would still come out through that stump. Like I said, it was a long time ago, but that series was pretty fun. Another fun Wolverine spinoff also involved Batman, after the Marvel/DC miniseries spawned the Amalgam universe and combined characters from DC and Marvel. It was called "Dark Claw". Kind of lame looking back at it, but when I was 13 (1996), it was really awesome. It also featured a funny mixture of Jubilee and Robin.

QUOTE (Lemon_44 @ Dec 15, 2008 -> 10:17 AM) I think Linebrink was as big as loss, probably bigger, than anyone else. Prior to getting hurt, the guy was darn near unhittable. If the Sox were ahead after 7,game over. Somehow the Sox lost the dependable Linebrink for most of the season, Jose Contreras for the final, what, two months? AND Carlos Quentin for the final month and still won the division. Ozzie should have been Manager of the Year.

I've never been a big fan of trading for Daniel Cabrera, but I'd be disappointed if the Sox didn't sign him up.

He looks so awesome in that jersey. What a perfect pickup for the Suns, though their frontcourt is still a mess. -

QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Dec 15, 2008 -> 10:04 AM) You have to be careful though not to ruin some team chemistry. Bulin is obviously a big part of this team and sending him away could send a bad vibe through the team. However, if you can sign Sundin and get some solid prospects for Bulin, fiscally and for the future it probably makes sense. I actually kind of like the two-goalie tandem, keeps them both fresh, but obviously they are making too much money combined. The younger 'tender plays better with consistent time, that's the only thing. It's addition by subtraction at this point. -
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 13, 2008 -> 06:03 PM) So I bought Wi Fitness for my mom for Christmas and now I need to find a good deal on a WII (which is what I'm getting myself). Anyone have any recommendations. I'd probably want all the nunchecks and that jazz too cause I plan on using it mainly as a family type of game system. GameStop has consistently had Wii's in for the last month, and that's where I got mine three weeks ago. Call around, if they answer the phone "GameStop we have Wii's" then you're money.

QUOTE (TheBlackSox8 @ Dec 14, 2008 -> 12:14 PM) bootleg of X-Men Origins:Wolverine Wow, it looks like they are actually staying true to the storyline, which is awesome. The whole Weapon X project was one of my favorite storylines, so this will be very cool. Anyone remember when they came out with the "Weapon X" alternate reality storyline for Wolverine where he was missing a hand? I loved that s***.
