  1. QUOTE (rangercal @ Dec 8, 2008 -> 04:22 PM) Oops.. I meant Joe Gordon http://www.baseball-reference.com/g/gordojo01.shtml I must have been confused when I looked over his stats. The mustache alone would warrant induction.
  2. QUOTE (1399 @ Dec 8, 2008 -> 04:25 PM) Thanks man. I appreciate it and really didnt mean to stir the pot but someone said it best earlier when they said there should be breathalizers on the puters. Yes I was hammered with the old lady last night so my angst over last seasons offensive troubles were a bit magnafied. So my appologies to those who were offended. Any more to this rumor? I too will say welcome to this board. You had me thinking you were Anthrax for a second, but that rumor has been shot down much like this Homer Bailey one.
  3. Opened the window and a breeze rolled in... jizz in my pants!
  4. I wonder how this effects/will effect those at Metromix (CLTV)? I have a few friends who work there.
  5. QUOTE (SoxFanForever @ Dec 8, 2008 -> 03:31 PM) What a joke. Agreed. The NHL is starting to piss me off.
  6. QUOTE (1399 @ Dec 8, 2008 -> 04:05 PM) Found this interesting over at mlbtraderumors... The Sox have an opening for a back up catcher. Not sure how young of a pitcher the Rangers are looking for but they could be interested in a guy like Marquez who throws a sinker. It might take more than Marquez but worth looking into since AJ is under contract through 2010. Man, getting Salty would be awesome.
  7. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 8, 2008 -> 11:30 AM) 46" It'll look pretty good. In the future, always remember 40" 1080p
  8. Put me in the "Can't wait for 'The Lonely Island''s debut album" camp.
  9. Hey, let's all stop with the Dye argument. World: He wasn't trash 1399: Yes he was, er, I mean, he is now! God: Stop bickering you women!
  10. I'm in the "if you can get Bailey you get him" camp.
  11. I'm just glad we never moved Dye for Willy Mo Pena at the deadline in 07, regardless of what happens.
  12. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Dec 8, 2008 -> 02:09 PM) is this what we've come to, serious discussions about corey patterson? Quite sad.
  13. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 8, 2008 -> 12:36 PM) Speaking of Rose, apparently he cut his arm with a knife and needed 10 stitches. He's fine according to WSCR, but damn how strange. After Jay Williams' career was ended with a motorcycle accident, I would have sobbed had Rose's ended due to an apple.
  14. QUOTE (NCsoxfan @ Dec 8, 2008 -> 11:56 AM) Im not sure there will be a team willing to give up two picks for OC... I don't believe they give up two picks. If they pick from 16 and on, they give up their first rounder, and if they pick before that they give up nothing. The other pick is a sandwich pick which becomes two sandwich picks if a team in the top 15 grabs him. He'll play somewhere, I'm sure his agent has received at least light interest to decline arbitration.
  15. IF we do get Bailey, we have one of the highest upside rotations in the Majors in the coming years. Of course, we also have a very many question in the lineup.
  16. It's funny how articles such as this have JD gone. (This one by Jayson Stark) http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/stor...rumblings081207 I think this is a done deal, but it just is on hold for whatever reason but will be announced later.
  17. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 7, 2008 -> 09:07 PM) Thanks. That helped me decide on picking up the Dark Night Blu-Ray. And yes a I am hooked up via HDMI. What's your screen size?
  18. How much better is this team with Spencer Hawes instead of Joakim Noah and LaMarcus Aldridge instead of Tyrus? Of course, then you get into the whole "had they done that the lottery balls would all have been different and then no D-Rose". So in light of everything, I'll take D-Rose.
  19. QUOTE (BBaum21 @ Dec 8, 2008 -> 10:27 AM) Well said Steve. Well said. Haven't seen you around in awhile.
  20. Wow, it's amazing how many people have no idea what Jermaine Dye has done for this organization. If he's traded for Bailey, that's fine with me, because the organization is being thrown on it's head right now and when you can get a talent like Bailey (in this situation) you do it. However, someone actually typed that Jermaine Dye is trash. Despite the many ways that baseball-wise this is inaccurate (I'll start with the fact that he's been our best hitter over the last four years), but he's also a great guy and probably, actually very easily, a top 5 White Sox for me. I love him. Some of you fans are ridiculous (anyone who would call JD trash) and can go back to the North Side where you were before 2005.
