  1. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 21, 2013 -> 09:50 AM) I don't get the Danks call up, nor how great people on this board apparently thinks he is. Wise is currently a better major league player. More experienced, yes. Better? Not in my opinion. Besides, if you're right and he really isn't better than an aging journeyman who makes the occasional contribution, then let's know it. Give him playing time in the majors. If he's a POS the sooner they know it the sooner they can move on.
  2. Should be a real pitchers duel out there today. But at least the Sox will be rockin the '83 jerseys, so let's all remember that very famous poem: "It's easy to grin when your ship comes in and you've got the stock market beat. But the man worthwhile is the man who can smile when his shorts are too tight in the seat". Now start playing some f***ing baseball for a change.
  3. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 04:02 PM) Whoever just called into Rongey's show is excellent. I'm a better person for having heard it. "I'm a vet and I want that guy in my foxhole!"
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 03:59 PM) I blame Ventura more for having a lineup where the only guy hitting well (Rios) has two automatic outs batting in front and behind him. It makes it so difficult to string together multiple hits in an inning the way the lineup is formed now. Konerko needs to be batting 4th, end of story. Okay, I can see if you want to shuffle the lineup every time a guy has a couple of good games. The only one we can agree on is Dunn, he should be much lower. But do you really think it made a difference in the win/loss today? I don't.
  5. great phone call with drunk dude from the game on Rongey
  6. I do not blame Ventura for trying to win the game in the 9th inning. If you want to blame him for having Keppinger at 1st in that situation, fine, you're deluding yourselves. Maybe it's easier to blame Robin than the players making the plays (or more accurately, not making the plays). We got 1 run off a guy who's been a gas can this season.
  7. He's been awesome out of the pen. I say keep him there.
  8. wow, what a f***ing disaster Keppinger is. Whoever said it earlier is right, the guy's a bench player, not a starter.
  9. Escobar would have been safe at 1st, even the official scorer called that one.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 03:30 PM) Alexei throw in the dirt, Keppinger bobbles/misses/whatever, goes after the runner at first, meanwhile runner scores from 3rd. runner scores from 2nd
  11. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 03:28 PM) Konerko makes that pick easyyyyyyy. And if not it's in front of him. Keppinger handled that as poorly as possible. he should have thrown the ball to 3rd and got the lead runner, it was a stupid play by Doumit to even run on that. He threw the ball in the dirt.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 03:25 PM) Yep, good thing we have Keppinger over at first base now. Ventura is just killing us. please, that's on the mental midget at SS
  13. He's now hitting .098 and still hitting in the middle of the order. LOL!
  14. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 02:51 PM) Angels lead Tigers 10-0 after 8, but the local FOX station won't switch over. it was fun watching that first inning, though. Tigers should've traded Porcello in ST when he was lights out.
  15. wow. playing with fire. tell me again why Veal is still on the team?
  16. this team has picked up right where they left off last september.
  17. QUOTE (Cali @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 02:12 PM) Jake should get to punch every batter in the nuts today for the effort they gave back to him... Dunn twice.
