  1. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 24, 2012 -> 08:10 PM) Props to Dan Johnson with a nice ab. Let's see him more Ventura just said screw it, I ain't f***ing around. Great move.
  2. He may not be the shutout guy he was earlier in the year but he can certainly go 7 and give up 3. That should give the Sox a chance to win.
  3. have to give back at least 1 run, right? isn't that the rule?
  4. wtf is konerko doing up there? such a f***ing headcase sometimes.
  5. From what you read from Coop and even Phil himself, it sounds like he's mechanically unstable, for lack of a better description. When he's sound, he's a good pitcher. A really good pitcher. But he seems to have real trouble staying in sync.
  6. I still can't believe MIN won a DH from etroit. Optimistic? Why not, you never know what can happen in the playoffs. But we have so much baseball left to get there.
  7. Look at the bright side: it's not like the Rays are hot right now
  8. Sox had their chances to score. Another nice pitching effort, tho
  9. I wouldn't move Dunn, he's been tremendous to watch lately. 1-18, and that performance last night was just...wow, epic. I'd leave him in the 3 hole to get him as many AB's as possible.
  10. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 09:46 PM) Remember to wear your 50 pieces of flair at Shennanagans.
  11. QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 04:05 PM) I'm coming around to the idea of putting Gordon in the 2 spot and moving Youk down to 7 (DV and Alexei move down a spot each). I also understand that Gordon's wild inconsistency would reduce my faith in him staying hot down the stretch and I understand that moving him in the order again could blow his fragile mind. So I'm not sure if I care that they haven't changed things. Youk is close - he's starting to square up some balls. Hang tight. I like the squatter hitting 9th.
  12. Angels are playing with a real sense of urgency right now and still feel they can catch OAK for a WC spot. The interviews with them I've seen shows a bunch of guys who are prepared to just let it all hang out and let the chips fall where they may. They seem loose, not tight. I don't know how Robin and his guys do it, but they need to get the Sox playing with that desire to win vs. that fear of losing. You can just see it right now. No reason they shouldn't have beaten up on Santana last night, the guy's not good. I feel like just one explosive inning, some bloops and some blasts, could propel them back into the right mindset.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 01:39 PM) So they're not holding him out for a start? nope, he threw a bullpen session today and says he feels great and ready to go.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 22, 2012 -> 01:36 PM) Tigers offense seems like they're getting a ton of hits every game right now. I'll be very curious to see how Scherzer looks tomorrow night. Seems odd that he'd be able to turn around and start throwing hard again after straining the shoulder muscle, but who knows?
