  1. QUOTE (Caesar @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 05:22 PM) Sure am glad floyd didn't start yesterday against a team he pitches well against and instead started him against a team who owns him. wasn't he still on the dl yesterday?
  2. QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 05:19 PM) I see Floyd and Humber have reverted to their post injury forms. bible will save them
  3. It starts with Gavin. Keep it close and we can strike against their bullpen.
  4. I bet Yankee fans are packing it in after losing 4 straight. This is when we find out what this team and coaching staff is made of.
  5. The ump stood there and saw the whole thing. That's a call a p**** doesn't want to make against the home team.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 12:21 PM) Gotta hold them and then hope to get a bloop and a blast. 2 bloops and a blast -- I can't handle another walk off
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 12:17 PM) Strike 4 on Konerko...swing the bat Captain at least no dp
  8. Doesn't feel like we've out hit them today, but we have.
  9. QUOTE (SouthSidePride05 @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 12:11 PM) What does Hawk call Dunn? Sounds like bigot. "Big 'un" like big one
  10. QUOTE (scenario @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 12:08 PM) Don't know why... but I have a feeling we're going to win this game. Hmmm...
  11. Don't look now, but we just scored runs and didn't give up runs in the next frame.
  12. QUOTE (TheCut87 @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 12:01 PM) at the end of the day does it really matter if he hits .200 if he finishes the season with 40+ HRs and 100+ RBIs? All I am saying is if he is getting his walks (continuing to get on base) hrs and rbi's that makes up for his low batting average. We all knew his batting avg wasn't great when he signed here. That is simply something you have to live with and move on I agree, he's not going to hit for a big average. We need him to get on base when he's not driving in runs. At the pace he's been on since June, he'll be hitting under .200 pretty soon.
  13. QUOTE (TheCut87 @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 11:54 AM) once again you didn't pay the guy to hit for average. Everyone knows when adam dunn comes to the plate he is going to do 1 of 3 things....walk, HR or K. He has never been a person to hit for average but as long as he is hitting HRs, driving people in, and getting on base I can take a low batting average. That has never been his thing, no reason we should assume he is going to do that here. I still don't think that hitting over .200 is too much to ask for, sorry. He's had one historically bad season which almost defies logic. So even if we toss that one out (which we shouldn't), then I'd at least like him to match his career stats. I think that's a reasonable expectation.
  14. QUOTE (TheCut87 @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 11:48 AM) I don't get all the hatred for Adam Dunn and his deal. You paid the guy to come in, hit home runs drive in RBIs and get a walk. You never should have had the expectation that he was going to hit for AVG or anything like that. Yes, he sucked last season but the guy is a league leader in Home Runs and walks this season. What more do you want from the guy? I'd like to see him hit over .200 with the White Sox. That's something I'd like from a big time FA who's hitting 3rd in the lineup.
  15. QUOTE (Caesar @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 11:42 AM) 1. Dunn One of the worst FA signings in Sox history, IMO.
  16. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 11:36 AM) Not .750, but they're better than last year, and look at what they did to the rest of the division in August and September. This time, they do have a really tough schedule coming up through at least the end of Aug. Frankly, I thought the Angels could split with them. I think they were WAY better last year. Their #'s with RISP were ridiculous, led by Martinez. And then you had the whole Fister 2nd half addition/hot streak.
