  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 22, 2011 -> 05:18 PM) Teahen chases so many offspeed pitches with two strikes, it's amazing. For someone with no power, he has very little plate coverage. He's just not a very good baseball player. He was a starter on a very bad KC team. To say Kenny misjudged him would be very kind.
  2. just me, or does CQ pop out to short right a lot? Bet there's a graph somewhere...
  3. QUOTE (southsidepride15 @ Jul 22, 2011 -> 03:04 PM) Awesome name, awesome avatar, awesome post. ditto
  4. QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 22, 2011 -> 02:35 PM) Man we could use some of that rain Maybe Rick Perry can pray for it.
  5. some serious storm action -- late start to this one?
  6. Cleveland...the place where we actually got off to a good start. I hope this stumble in KC was just that. The Sox were playing better against the Tigers to open the 2nd half, should've taken at least 2 of 3 in KC. LETS GET THIS TRAIN BACK ON TRACK!! Adam Dunn - MY PTC b****ES!!
  7. Pierre LF Ramirez SS Konerko 1B Dunn DH Quentin RF AJ C Rios CF Teahen 3B Beckham 2B Floyd P
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 22, 2011 -> 10:42 AM) A kick in the nuts?
  9. plus, i think it's hard to put your finger on one position and say "that's our weakness." We need a bat at 3B, CF and DH, plus someone not named Bruney who throws with his right hand.
  10. QUOTE (Cali @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 06:39 PM) The Twins winning the Central this season would be such a disgrace and a joke. Boston Texas or New York would DESTROY THEM. They've lost in the playoffs with 10x better teams than the AAA team they're trotting out there in 2011... I think a healthy Twins team would walk away with this division.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 09:27 AM) Lunging at 2 strike pitches 125 times in a season can definitely cause knee issues. I guess I had assumed that his joints were well accustomed to that motion
  12. sore knee? wtf has he done to get a sore knee? he doesn't even get to run to 1st, he walks back to the dugout.
  13. I love Coop. I have no problem with his reaction and I certainly don't think he's a "jerk." He doesn't make personnel decisions so what's wrong with that? And what's wrong with him being frustrated by the lack of runs that's killing this team's chances? Night after night he's watching his pitchers go out and perform admirably and come up with losses. And you have a problem with him being pissed off about that?
  14. Paul Konerko thinks a lot of him, but I can't say that walker is responsible. Another note: Inge was sent to AAA but must clear waivers. Claim him?
  15. some of these guys just go up there swinging at everything and anything
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 20, 2011 -> 07:19 PM) Well, Chris Rongey said something like no matter how many games we lose before deadline, he'd rather we just go for it this year and hope for the best and not trade anyone. he doesn't buy tickets and/or TV packages
