  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 20, 2011 -> 05:26 PM) This offense is so damn boring the thought of a crooked number going up there just seems so remote.
  2. Yes - please give the man a rehab stint and let him get it together!
  3. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Jul 20, 2011 -> 04:22 PM) You sure he's a great guy? The time I met him he was a complete D-Bag. That's too bad. Haven't met him personally, just going off the vibe you hear from teammates.
  4. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 20, 2011 -> 03:49 PM) Its pretty sad how bad a guy must be if someone hitting .230 with no power, owed a ton of money next year is too much to give up in exchange. Indeed. Although I sincerely believe he'd hit for a bit more power in AL parks like the cell instead of pitcher parks in 3 of 4 NL West parks. Plus, Rowand's just a great f***ing guy and a guy who gets it. Rios is s*** and a waste of time. He was a gamble to begin with and it failed. I'd love to have Rowand back instead of his s***.
  5. lets deal rios to SF for Rowand. Put the band back together.
  6. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 20, 2011 -> 12:13 PM) Dunn needs to hit the DL. Minimum 15 game trip, but it allows like 7-10 days to clear his head and completely forget about baseball (while still training) and then you get him 5 games against garbage in AAA. I would love to see this. I can imagine that if he did start to rake against AAA then he could be a big addition in early August.
  7. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Jul 20, 2011 -> 12:07 PM) But, "Where would he play?" seriously though, where would you play him? I guess just give him the DH job and let Dunn get his ABs spelling PK?
  8. do you remember the boost he brought last year? it was fun. And remember how much better the sox started playing when Omar got more starts at 3B?
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 20, 2011 -> 11:02 AM) The same thing has been said a few times now, over the last month. yeah, true. think i'm still pissed off about losing last game.
  10. actually, I wouldn't be surprised if we're looking up at MIN by the end of the weekend. This offense just doesn't have it. Hasn't had it all year.
  11. time for a rally from the bottom of the order. Which is 0-9.
  12. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 19, 2011 -> 07:23 PM) But thats because Ozzie doesnt manage that way, he will always take out a pitcher 1 pitch to late. He barely ever takes a guy out 1 pitch to early. But with a sluggish offense he has to do all he can to protect that lead that late in the game. He got a QS from Jake, no more needed. He did his job.
  13. I don't think Ozzie has the balls to tell Peavy nice job and then go Sale, Crain, Sergio in the 7th 8th and 9th.
  14. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 19, 2011 -> 07:18 PM) If CLE throttles us this weekend at home, that could be the end. 5 1/2 back if things continue where they are at the moment tonight, 4 1/2 behind Tigers. agree. great chance for Cleveland to put the Sox in a hole.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 19, 2011 -> 07:12 PM) Beckham has an error tonight. I blame Lexi for that one. And he's made some sweet plays as well.
  16. another infuriating loss. damnit this team is hard to watch. except for beckham in the field.
  17. QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 19, 2011 -> 07:00 PM) I think your cursing the hitters lol i think you're right
  18. with this crappy offense he has to start protecting 1 run leads like newborns in a house fire
  19. so a guy who's been complaining of fatigue battles with less than stellar stuff but you don't have anyone up the third time thru the order in the 7th inning. Just wanted to make sure I got that right.
