  1. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 17, 2015 -> 11:15 AM) I'm normally the first guy to raise caution flags for attitude problems. I work for a long time dodger season ticket holder and he's pretty plugged in. Puig is a major attitude problem, according to him. "un-coachable" and very selfish.
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 16, 2015 -> 09:42 AM) I dont ever want Farmer on TV. Ever. Ed was good at color with Rooney. He struggles with the PBP and the forced banter with DJ.
  3. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 15, 2015 -> 01:12 PM) Oh should we base our opinions of him on an exhibition, or his actual season? When in doubt, I prefer the knee jerk reaction.
  4. The guy who gave up 3 runs in 2/3 of an inning in the futures game? Cool.
  5. Of course Yost wants him to pitch. Yost wants home field advantage in the WS.
  6. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 12, 2015 -> 09:13 AM) Is Jose hurt? What's the point of not playing him today otherwise? He is hurt. Foot and leg and now that finger soreness has flared up again. Bad enough that they don't want to wait until the break to give him some rest.
  7. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 08:23 PM) In modern day baseball, competing for the WC is all that matters. With this pitching, there is zero doubt this team can win October. They just might not be good enough to get there. October is a crap shoot where your odds are helped by stud pitching Great point. Hell, KC looked very one-and-done until the late innings of that WC game against Oakland. And then look what happened.
  8. QUOTE (LDF @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 04:16 PM) i have a this hopeless feeling that the sox will not trade anyone, or anyone like Shark. i feel as ithe sox will hope that make a miraculous run and get to the wild card position. i just don't know, this team has holes to address. the best way to addrss this is thru trades. There's really nothing to worry about. If the Sox play themselves into legitimate contention before the deadline then I don't think they'll trash what they've done. However, if they don't play themselves back into it (and hovering around .500 is not "into it") then they will deal. Seems like Hahn has basically said as much. Now, the bigger issue for me is that even if they do manage to start legitimately contending for the WC, you have to ask is that enough? Is that worth standing pat, just to have a chance to contend for a WC spot in the last 2 months. Or should you only stand pat if you feel you have a team that can not only win a WC but a world series....that's the rub, IMO. Are you in this for parades in October or banners to hang in the spring?
  9. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 03:56 PM) 9-2 in last 11, 13-6 in last 19 And they've scored 34 runs total over those 11. And they won 9! That's some great pitching. (and some really sorry offense)
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 02:10 PM) Yea the Sox don't need a guy hitting .350 for the last month. Get him out of here
  11. I'd drop Gillaspie before I'd send Sanchez down.
  12. Fowler's wife went to twitter to complain about the ump! LOL
  13. It's not like Hendrick's is a slouch. He's been lights out in his last 2 games. Make it 3.
  14. Too bad. I was hoping Rodon would round into form as the season went on
  15. in a weird way there were 2 errors on that DP but of course no official errors
