Pierre very nearly overran that ball. If I were an opposing hitter with decent to even moderate speed I would try for 2nd on any base hit to LF against the Sox, until Pierre proves he can throw me out.

We don't have very good left-handed relief. This is a surprising twist since I thought it would be so strong.
