Kuhn can hit, but he's a marginal prospect at best. Scouting report on him is that he can play a number of positions marginally at best, but none well. And he's got no power, and no speed to speak of. Basically he is, at best, a good contact hitter. Ceiling is a Lillibridge replacement.
Thanks
Feels like Humber is our ace these days. get some motherf***ing hits with runners on for a change and stop this weak ass s***. Hell, I'll take a 5-4 road trip and feel good about it at this point. That would be significant progress, imo.

lol
this team is toast, don't fight it
let me guess, you were saying the same thing this time last season too...?

If I'm going to watch an awful team, I at least want them to look good. Kyle Korver at SS. Jon Hamm somewhere. Ron karkovice.
Jon Hamm and Ron Karkovice. So many similarities.

Pass that s***!
Look, who's to say 85 wins won't win the AL Central? That means they have to play at a .569 clip the rest of the way and I think they can do better than that. And I'll take my chances with our starting pitching in the playoffs.

We are currently leading the race for the #1 pick in the 2012 draft!
That does kind of brighten the day...then I remember that KW will make the pick, and it's dark again.

I still have faith.
A nice long winning streak and the Sox will be right back in the thick of things.
Last year I hated it when hawk brought up the 83 team and how poorly they started before going on to win 99 games and the division. They were 14-21 at one point then turned it around. So it's not impossible. I really believe in the pitching we have.
As infuriating and depressing as it is to watch this offense step up to the plate and fail time after time after time, there is one thing that would be even worse to watch: failure by the pitching staff.
To me, the silver lining in all this is that the pitching has been good enough to win, certainly good enough to be .500 or better. The early struggles of the pen aside, the starters have been solid.
I have far more faith in hitters turning around their season then I do a pitching staff doing the same thing.

Hey Paulie, i really enjoy you throwing your bat in disgust.
Can't do it all himself, but he has been trying.

6 innings of 3 run ball with a bunch of terrible defense isn't really comparable to Javy's "one bad pitch" or "one bad inning"
I agree, it's a QS
