  1. There's no quit in this ball club? Did you see the way Konerko ran to 1st?
  2. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 29, 2011 -> 07:50 PM) If the Padres and Astros both win tonight, we'll have the worst record in the major leagues officially as May begins. I'll be glad when April is ova
  3. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Apr 29, 2011 -> 07:03 PM) No kidding. I'd just like to see him become decent trade bait again.
  4. win or lose if they just keep swinging the bats like this things will turn around.
  5. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 29, 2011 -> 06:55 PM) You got more faith than I do! It has something to do with Clay Rapada and his 21.00 ERA
  6. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 29, 2011 -> 06:53 PM) 3-0 lead now losing 5-3 can this team suck anymore. they'll pull this one out
  7. side note: how about Ryan Mallett getting to work out any "character issues" under Brady/Belichick. wow, they scored.
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 29, 2011 -> 06:42 PM) Oh yeah, at least he looks dangerous. Just too bad he gave himself no chance to be productive by swinging at that. agreed
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 29, 2011 -> 06:40 PM) Alexei showing no patience with RISP, and swings at a pitch head level. If Arrieta throws a low inside fastball, this game will be 6-3. I know it was a bad decision on his part but at least he's one Sox batter who's looking to be aggressive up there.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 29, 2011 -> 06:27 PM) It's hard to tell. Dunn looks better, as does AJP/Alexei/Teahen. We've gone over Beckham's struggles, and we're not seeing Rios tonight. Arrieta is the perfect pitcher for our hitters, as almost everything is hard. I stand by what I saw in Glendale from Rios. Absolutely blistering the ball. So this funk doesn't worry me as long as he keeps his mind right.
  11. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 29, 2011 -> 06:25 PM) Well you might be right. June is just a short month away. I was thinking July, but June would work.
  12. I might be alone in this, but I get the feeling the Sox bats aren't all that far away from righting the ship.
  13. Everyone knows Dunn takes the 1st pitch. He might want to start looking to drive it.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 29, 2011 -> 05:50 PM) He was probably confident coming into the year, but once he had a bad game or two, he mentally lost it. Which makes me feel even worse for the guy. Apparently he worked his ass off all winter and was chomping at the bit to get going this season, super confident. To see that take a hit so quickly in the season is just a huge drag.
