I'm guessing that this is the proverbial "bump in the road" that his doc in Chicago warned about, not the shoulder inflammation, which by all accounts seemed to be unrelated to the detached lat. So good, got that out of the way. Now he can pitch through it and hopefully build up some strength.
Imagine if you were JP and started feeling a pain in that same surgically repaired spot while on the mound. Must have been pretty frightening. And just as reassuring to hear that there's nothing wrong with it. Honestly, I think this is great news.
