  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 4, 2011 -> 04:21 PM) Ah, I love it when the Twins play the Yankees. It's like they're a different team vs. NY
  2. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 4, 2011 -> 01:06 PM) I have no idea how the Rays are going to score runs this year. I actually like Toronto a lot more. Me too. On another note, I think the guy in your avatar is going to be the talk of the NL this season.
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 4, 2011 -> 12:59 PM) LOL. This is starting already? We should smoke them and that's what I expect. If we don't smoke them AND the tribe this season I too will be pissed. b**** slap them out of the gate like we did to cleveland.
  4. Watching tigers vs. O's....and you know, on paper at least, the O's ain't that bad really, and they're playing pretty good out of the gate. Wonder if the AL East could be more interesting than just a 3 team race.
  5. remember that game when CLE was down like 12-0 against SEA and won 14-12? wish I didn't.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 1, 2011 -> 01:32 PM) Have we scored more runs today than we did during all of Spring Training? i was thinking the same thing
  7. I know it's greedy, but I really want the shutout today
  8. QUOTE (ChrisLikesBaseball @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 11:33 AM) You mean like.. almost all of them that are in view of the TV cameras? If I recall correctly, this is a pretty common sight at Yankee stadium. Yeah, like all over the stadium.
  9. is it just me, or are you guys noticing a lot of empty seats in yankee stadium?
  10. I like what Jeff Passan said, MLB should've bombarded us wtih baseball today instead of opening with a whimper and a handful of games.
  11. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 08:57 AM) he obviously could, but if memory serves me right the issue with him is a bad back, that could also linger/flare up for the rest of his career, especially with the New England springs and falls. Yes, a lot of miles on Lackey and Beckett, too. They were both stud power pitchers at a very early age.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 30, 2011 -> 05:21 PM) The only way Matt leaves the closers role is if he pitches badly. Ozzie doesn't yank his closers very easily. yeah but he's hinted that it could be situational. I do think Thornton is great but I don't think he's closer great. We'll see.
  13. some inspired baseball being played in the cold drizzle
  14. hope the starters are only in there for a short while
  15. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Mar 30, 2011 -> 03:05 PM) Sadly, this is true. Don't worry, after Lester and Buchholz they fall back to earth pretty hard. IMO.
  16. at least one of their "experts" picked the Sox to win it. ESPN predictions
  17. Peavy felt no residuals today from 45 pitches tuesday. (per sun times)
  18. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 30, 2011 -> 11:59 AM) I also don't care how any team is ever playing in spring training. The Royals have 20 wins this spring - I'm not concerned. Let's see how it all unfolds in the regular season. This is true. I think Coke has moved to the starting rotation for the Tigers, and while it's true their bullpen has question marks I don't think it's any more than the Sox or Twins. In fact, I have a feeling that Sergio Santos will be our closer before the season is finished.
