  1. Bobby's remarks are frustrating, but I guess I'd rather have him holding on to some shred of confidence rather than hanging his head and sounding lost.
  2. it's not about a lineup that can compete with the yankees, red sox and rangers. It's about a pitching staff that can compete with them. So I agree with Jordan, the deal for Haren is frustrating as all hell. I don't give a s*** about the left-handed bat issue except that i'm glad we haven't overpaid (yet) for the likes of Dunn.
  3. farmer's right - it's the bullpen that needs help
  4. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 24, 2010 -> 01:05 PM) No, I'm sure it will end up being the Dodgers. But the national game is being done from Oakland. Unfortunately the OC market will get the Dodgers game. has it switched?
  5. I think bobby might be great in a setup role. But not closer. It's not like he's making good pitches and they're just hitting them. He doesn't even throw a curve for strikes anymore....something's wrong.
  6. QUOTE (OsweGo-Go Sox @ Jul 20, 2010 -> 10:00 PM) Landis and Minnie in the outfield. Nellie and Aparicio as the DP combination. Sherm Lollar behind the plate. Just saying. winner
  7. FWIW, seems like the guy missed the most glaring issue that's been nagging him. He's trying to suggest that he's flying open which both Beckham and Walker have scoffed at. Everyone seems to think batters are flying open when they struggle. I suggest you take a look at his right elbow in both videos. You'll see it more clearly on the straight on angle vs. the CF angle. It's higher this season than last, which is why the angle of the bat is different. And it's probably why he's lost the power of swinging from the inside. Like the golf swing, it's usually fundamentals like the stance that start athletes into bad habits. Just my opinion.
  8. I wonder if the tigers would give Crede a try. He's apparently ready, or very close to it.
  9. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jul 20, 2010 -> 02:36 PM) Mark Kotsay is 7 for 48 (.146) with RISP this season. Of all the players in baseball with at least 40 AB in these situations Mark Kotsay has the 2nd worst batting average behind only Luke Scott (8-61, .131). but he's a leader
  10. nice job pitching around the incompetence. lets get another run.
  11. QUOTE (Real @ Jul 16, 2010 -> 06:45 PM) Dude's a china doll i came late to the game, is CQ banged up again?
  12. nice to see scherzer come back to earth
  13. does any team have more meetings on the mound?
  14. hey alexi, how about a bomb? is it just me channeling hawk, or is this strike zone slanted?
