  1. went to the dodger game last night and got depressed wondering where is our Eithier, our Kemp, our Loney? Then to top it off, Ely pitches a great game.
  2. QUOTE (elgonzo4sox @ Jun 1, 2010 -> 12:57 PM) I am to blame - but having Vizquel's glove behind Buehrle is a good thing, given that Buehrle is only as good as the defense behind him, since he puts so many balls in play. Ozzie is following my suggestions (which I emailed to him 2 weeks ago) for getting Buehrle's season back on track: 1. Separate Danks and Buehrle in the rotation, so that teams don't see Buehrle Jr. (Danks) followed by the softer-throwing Buehrle Sr. (this was accomplished after the Detroit rainout). 2. Always bring in Santos (flame throwing righty) after Buehrle (a soft throwing lefty) leaves the game (this happened in Buehrle's last win vs. the Marlins). 3. Put the best defensive lineup on the field when Buehrle pitches, which means Vizquel starts in the infield. If our defense does not give any extra outs tonight, Buehrle will be fine and we'll win. A nice 4-1 or 5-2 win in 2 hours 10 minutes is my prediction. Burls goes 7, Santos gets the 8th, and Putz closes. i finally stopped staring at your sig long enough to read your post. Good points.
  3. QUOTE (BearSox @ May 29, 2010 -> 09:25 AM) Is someone gonna predict Quentin to break out everyday until he does, if he does? apparently
  4. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 28, 2010 -> 09:56 AM) Got a feeling that Ramirez, Beckham and Rios are going to lead us tonight, and Freddy will bounce back and keep the Rays off balance. nice to have one of those feelings come true for a change
  5. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ May 28, 2010 -> 06:29 PM) This is where Beckham comes up huge, book it. nice call
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ May 28, 2010 -> 06:28 PM) I love this swinging away by Cora tonight! not me - that's a bunt situation if there ever was one
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ May 28, 2010 -> 05:00 PM) Nix is playing himself out of the organization. Batting .150 with no power and terrible defense. I was a big fan of his, but he looks to have taken a few steps back from where he was last season. he plays like once a month
  8. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 28, 2010 -> 04:39 PM) I'm not a sample size person, but I believe the sox brass really s*** the boat on not just promoting the defensive Lucy who I'm confident can hit Castro's line last year minus power, but more speed. you mean you didn't find his trot down the first base line inspiring? To think that fat f*** is getting paid to play baseball and won't run it out....
  9. 8 in a row + 7 pitch inning = sweaty time for freddy. Royce Clayton would be a stud in this lineup. He just missed his time is all.
