  1. wtf...they're closing the gates as fans trying to get in??
  2. Looks like there is a pretty solid police line keeping the protests to the north of Camden.
  3. I think they're pretty busy looting so hopefully they won't be attracted to the bright lights of the stadium.
  4. about a mile and a half. My sister was there Saturday night and said the cops were out in force protecting the stadium.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 27, 2015 -> 01:40 PM) Daryl Van Schouwen ‏@CST_soxvan 2m2 minutes ago Chris Rongey handling radio play by play here and for Minnesota series. Ed Farmer off for personal reasons. I hope Ed's okay. I saw him walking into the park at ST and he looked very frail and was not moving gingerly.
  6. Hopefully they put a barrier around Camden like they did Saturday, other wise this game might get cancelled tonight due to violent protests.
  7. This alone is reason to rejoice about this bullpen: David Robertson: 8 games, 8 IP, 0 runs, 3 hits, 1 BB, 17 K, 3 saves, 2 wins. 120/87 pitches/strikes. Can't see why anyone wouldn't be optimistic about the Sox and their chances to win more games with the current bullpen.
  8. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 26, 2015 -> 01:15 PM) This is getting to be unwatchable...................coaching on this staff is a s bad as it gets. that's gotta be one of the funniest f***ing posts i've ever read. Melky Cabrera, a professional baseball player for what, 10 years now?, makes a base running mistake and it's a coach's fault? That's f***ing genius, dude.
  9. And when Danks leaves after 6 with 7+ K's and allowing 3 runs he will still suck?
  10. As if I needed more reasons to love Chris Sale, him banging on the Royals clubhouse to get to Volquez (so the rumor seems to be) makes me love him even more. For so long it seemed the Sox played without that heart and fire you see on other teams.
  11. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 24, 2015 -> 08:43 PM) Seriously, why do you think the Sox stink after a winter in which everybody said we won the winter meetings; we won the Hot Stove League? The "it's early" argument doesn't hold water really. You and I have seen this season as a continuation of last with stupid play, lousy approach at the plate and ridiculous defense and mental mistakes. The pitching again has been acceptable. Do we simply sign guys who do not care about on base percentage and it spreads like a cancer through the team? And the frustration of having such a s***ty/inconsistent might be a nicer word/ offense affects the defense in some perverse way? Somebody must have answers. Who said they were going to win the world series? They got better. They'll probably finish above .500 which would be a huge improvement.
  12. Good game for Q. If Abreu gets his ass in front of the "double" it's a tie game at 1. Nice bounce back.
  13. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 24, 2015 -> 05:55 PM) So it's ruled an out and Jose is fine. Um, ok then
  14. I'm just going to cancel MLB now, burn all my sox s***. f*** the baseball gods.
