  1. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 04:24 PM) Mercy our execution is terrible. 1 good, 1 bad
  2. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 01:30 PM) I would say it's probably 60-70% Richard (he certainly reversed it a bit with his last outing, though)....30-40% disappointment with Poreda's fastball as well as overall stuff, vis a vis expectations. my theory on the ebb and flow of Clayton Richard, based on nothing more than speculation, is that his stamina is a question mark. He was hitting 96 on his strong starts, topping out at 91 in bad starts. Back in late May or early June he even mentioned he was experiencing some fatigue (further begging the question as to why he would start on 3 days rest).
  3. QUOTE (chisoxfan09 @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 01:02 PM) Dude, it wouldn't be so bad if they just f'in tried. That is what makes this season so painful. Remember the 9-10 shutouts? Who the heck wants to go throgh that again. Man I swear sometimes I just can't figure them out offensively. And I have not even started on that terrible bonehead lapse they have on defense every other day.Whoa not worth gettig upset about but it can't be the same team that just taught the defending AL champs a lesson in fundamentals!!!!!!!!! Where the heck did they go? Becks is a rookie and you have to allow for that but the rest, dunno!!! i'm less upset - i had this one penciled in with an L all week. Verlander's outstanding at home.
  4. QUOTE (chisoxfan09 @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 12:50 PM) I dunno what to attribute this kind of season to, so typical after a huge awesome day the next is just terrible outright horrible play. Justin Verlander. He's very, very good. And when we win 3 of 4 you'll feel much better. I gare-on-tee
  5. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 12:41 PM) I hope he blows his arm out. he's on his way - Leyland is terrible at managing pitchers
  6. QUOTE (SAVVY18 @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 12:33 PM) A couple bloops and a blast and we're right back in this... hmm...
  7. QUOTE (CWSOX45 @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 12:08 PM) Bonine vs. Sox: 1 game, 2.2 ip, 6.75 ERA we just have to hope Colon can give us a decent game.
  8. I hope Wise gets a standing O from fans next home stand.
  9. Verlander's been dominant at home and even better during the day. A split would be great.

  13. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 23, 2009 -> 06:42 PM) Unfortunately I had to work today but it got me thinking. Which games have I attended that were the most memorable. Here's mine in order: 1 - Game 4 of the World Series (Only post season game I ever attended unless you count my next pick) 2 - Game 163 3 - The 1993 clincher when Bo Jackson homered 4 - Late inning comeback on Frank Thomas' first game as an Athletic 5 - The first game the Sox played here after their impressive 9 - 0 road trip in 2000 wow - i kind of hate you.
