  1. QUOTE (Texsox @ May 6, 2008 -> 12:51 PM) I've been saying simulating and depicting, I may have not typed it one time. But that is what it is. Someone decided to loosen up the club house, they decided to bring in an inflatable doll and someone also decided to stick a bat up the butt. They knew it would be viewed by reporters and possibly be made public. The vast majority of Sox fans defend this display of simulated sodomy. The image people will have of Sox fans from this is that Sox fans defend displays of simulated sodomy of a woman with a baseball bat. so let's just say, for the sake of hypothetical discussion, that you were a member of the white sox and you came into the clubhouse before the game that sunday in toronto and you saw this mock shrine devised to "charm" everyone's bats. What would've been your reaction?
  2. I knew some people would over react to this, yet I still held out some hope that they wouldn't. Too bad. Support your team - what the Sox did was not a big deal, just some jocks having some fun, trying to keep things loose in a difficult time. Why must some moralize about this and try to place it in context of business ethics? That has no relevance in this situation.
  3. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ May 5, 2008 -> 05:45 PM) That better be some f***ing headache to have Pablo bat there. I mean his ears better be bleeding, he better be getting intravenous fluids. Because if he just needed a midol then he can go. no s***. was he even on the bench?
  4. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ May 5, 2008 -> 05:26 PM) For the first time ever I believe Greg Walker should resign ASAP. he offered to last season
  5. why in the world is he throwing javy out there for 120 + pitches?
  6. oh well, Javy's still pitched a great game. Reinsdorf may be a lot of things but he isn't stupid. He knows fans are not going to stand for two seasons of pathetic slugging. Some kind of move is going to come down, even if it means moving Walker to manage a farm team.
  7. nice job by Javy. f***, our pitching has to be perfect these days for us to have a chance.
  8. If ozuna swings at the first pitch this laptop is going bye bye
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ May 2, 2008 -> 06:28 PM) At least it was fast. like waterboarding.
  10. great game by Buehrle it looks like. Glad to see that.
  11. I just tuned in for the top of the 9th... glad i missed this pain.
  12. any word on who's taking the cuban's place? edit: nevermind, just read about Russell in Reifert's blog.
  13. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 01:21 PM) Sox team ERA was 2nd in the AL coming into today. it's a great sign, isn't it? Even when they've struggled to score of late they're still finding a way to bring the tying run to the plate. The hits will come. The hits will most definitely come.
  14. Easy Josh fans, don't get carried away...it's not a big deal.
  15. I HATE THE f***ING TWINS AND I HATE LOSING. thanks, that feels good. On to Canada...
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 30, 2008 -> 11:52 AM) Today might be the defining game of the Greg Walker era. The Twins put Delmon Young 20 feet off of the LF line, as they knew the Sox would try and pull everything. That's like when Purdue didn't even have someone guard Chester Frazier on the perimeter. i think that has more to do with their speed at LF and CF. He did chase down a shot to the gap.
