  1. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 9, 2007 -> 09:04 PM) I missed a game, but I've yet to see AJP hit a ball well. he's in mid-March form
  2. can't help but get the feeling that something weird is waiting to happen. I hate Oakland.
  3. I also like the fact that whatever momentum the tribe had coming out of Chicago is kaput.
  4. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 8, 2007 -> 02:10 PM) It's not even Hawk, it's just common sense to anybody. You really can't hit any of his other pitches, no matter who you are, so your only prayer is sit on the fastball. um...his changeup looks like a fastball when it comes out of his hand. It's one of the reasons it's so nasty.
  5. Darin Erstad? Yes! he looks great in the lineup. don't know when and how they're going to work BA in there. Hopefully Ozzie is smart and spells Erstad enough to reduce the chance of injury and keep BA sharp.
  6. QUOTE(G&T @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 10:40 PM) I think he's still in the Mets organization. I'm pretty certain I heard his name mentioned in a Mets spring training broadcast. Rockies now, I think.
  7. I HIGHLY recommend getting MLB Premium and then enjoying the mosaic program that allows you to watch 6 games simultaneously.
  8. And look at what Bannister and the '83 Sox went on to do....
  9. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 05:43 PM) Masset was responsible for most of the damage. He, quite frankly, looked almost Boone-esque -- wide eyed and incapable of throwing strikes. Even if the radar gun was slightly off (as several within the thread indicated), he hardly looked impressive. Williams better hope either him or Danks fare well this season. If McCarthy pitches better than Danks, it won't be too pretty around here for Williams or his scouting department. They're already on notice in my mind after the seemingly unhealthy fascination with Floyd. I'll give Massett a pass. Opening day, nerves are cranked and the tribe was just teeing off by that point.
  10. i hope the count just had an off day and isn't sporting an injury
  11. It's the Buehrle curse -- he should've been the opening day starter
  12. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 12:24 PM) Jose was leaving alot of pitches out over the plate today, and the Indians just started out hot and havent relented. Im not really that concerned, I think Garland turns it around on wed. they're definitely rolling today, not much you can do but take your medicine.
  13. Hafner hasn't even gone yard yet, and you know that's coming before the sun sets. A comeback sure would be demoralizing for the tribe...just saying
  14. 3 pitches, 2 down the gut. oh well, so long spring! BRING IT!
  15. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Mar 31, 2007 -> 10:23 AM) Absolutely. Good to see that BA is hitting the ball better though. Hopefully that will continue into the regular season. he really does look to be staying back and hitting the ball hard
  16. misjudged by BA - that should've been an out ...and the extra out gives the braves a 2 run lead.
  17. nice tune up for Mark. would love to see more games where thornton and jenks clean up for two innings. brain anderson continues to take on chuck norris dimensions on soxtalk. I hope this debate doesn't end - the love for Brian/hatred for Erstad is pretty funny.
  18. who is that kid on first? his swing reminds me of Polanco, from the other side
  19. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 30, 2007 -> 04:49 PM) Oh, I'm also predicting Pods release by the ASB. bold prediction, but I just can't imagine the scenario in which he'd be released.
