  1. QUOTE(Frank the Tank 35 @ Sep 21, 2006 -> 07:20 PM) I think for the pure novelty of it, opposing batters should start calling their shots against Cotts. that's comedy
  2. I'm psyched for the matches to begin tomorrow, Sergio is already talking smack about Tiger saying he hopes to play him all three days. Such a punk. Anyone else out there into the Ryder Cup? USA USA USA
  3. Yeah, it really hurt the Yankees in 98. And in 99. And in 2000. And in 2001.
  4. I need a few more days to let it set in (and the depression to wear off), but I am glad they were competetive for most of the season. Now I can sit back and root for anyone but the tigers or twins. go dodgers
  5. QUOTE(FlaCWS @ Sep 20, 2006 -> 06:16 AM) Am I the only one who would be rooting very hard for the Twins to beat the Yanks? Not that I'm giving up on the Sox just yet... but I would definitely root for the Twins in a series against the Yankees. I would not could not in a box. I would not could not with a fox. QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 20, 2006 -> 05:27 AM) They've got nothing on this board. Most of you have been digging the graves since July. The lady doth speak the truth
  6. QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Sep 20, 2006 -> 10:05 AM) Deal him. KEEP THE FIVE ALIVE. We need smallball "O" and speed--i.e., something instead of Podsednik. Bmac can buy us that. Our starters will be fine next year, rested and healed. BMac's a question mark. They're not.
  7. Number one reason: Tigers and Twins. They've played better. The Sox are a pretty damn good team. Will probably win over 90 games. You can pick apart the season all you want but the fact that it became a 3 way chase instead of a 2 team race doomed one team.
  8. go jonny go KC is playing their asses off trying to avoid losing 100 games. Anyone else think they could be the spoiler we're looking for? They've got six left with the kitties and four with the twinkies.
  9. i hope freddy's back next year. does that get me suspended?
  10. QUOTE(3E8 @ Sep 19, 2006 -> 06:13 PM) THE FUSE IS LIT!
  11. womp womp waaaaaah does anyone think Rogers hit Crede intentionally last night, preferring to pitch to AJ? It came right after IRod paid a visit to the mound.
  12. looks like they had a clubhouse meeting and decided to turn things around.
  13. wow, that's something you never see, Thome taking a third strike call.
  14. Looks like the Twins are taking a dive, only 6-0.
  15. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 19, 2006 -> 04:15 PM) So why is Anderson playing? why is that in green?
  16. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Sep 19, 2006 -> 04:03 PM) Too bad that's the lineup... Should have put people out there who actually would want to play: Owens LF Sweeney RF Dye DH Fields 3B Gload 1B Stewart C Cintron 2B Anderson CF Ozuna SS Why the hell not? Nothing else to play for. I agree, but until they're eliminated he's got to go with his "A" team
  17. "We need to catch an extra miracle to catch [Detroit], division-wise," first baseman Paul Konerko said. "But we're not out of the wild-card [race]."
  18. QUOTE(JERMAINEDYE4MVP @ Sep 18, 2006 -> 10:39 PM) Guys, look at it THIS way... Minny plays Red Sox starting tomorrow IN fenway! and we all know how tough the carmines play in their house. so say the red sox win tomorrow. we win tomorrow...and the lead is *ONLY* 3.5!! Thats very good. b/c we only need to make up 1.5 games b/c we have that last series with minny. and as you know ANYTHING can happen. ANYTHING. I love you. In a non-physical strictly platonic sense. Anything is possible, but I'm afraid this team has quit. And even if they haven't, they're just not very good.
  19. I wish we would've traded BMac for Tejada when we had the chance.
