QUOTE(tpezz27 @ Sep 19, 2006 -> 08:56 AM) Look at these great numbers....... Anderson with 0-2 count batting .097 31 ab's at 0-2 struck out 18 times Anderson with 1-2 count batting .164 55 ab's at 1-2 struck out 34 times Anderson with 2-2 count batting .143 42 ab's at 2-2 struck out 21 times Anderson with 3-2 count batting .211 19 ab's at 3-2 struck out 8 times Leads off an inning batting .185 Batting with a runner on second .208 Batting with a runner on third .111 Batting with first and second .188 Batting with first and third .200 Batting with bases loaded .000 Batting with men on and 2 out .190 Batting with runners in scoring pos with 2 outs .189 Batting with runners in scoring pos season .208 The only two situations he batted well were with second and third and with man on third and less then two outs! Had the Sox not been playing so well in June in spite of his lack of production, I seriously believe they would've sent him down to Charlotte. Instead, Ozzie made the decision to stick with him. It was a bad decision and to argue otherwise is to be blindly loyal to a young player we all hope turns into a star some day.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 18, 2006 -> 08:56 PM) Brandon is a special talent(god I've said this a lot). He's going to be one of our best starting pitchers next year, book it. this is such bulls***

Joe rhymes with Blow. just saying.

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Sep 18, 2006 -> 07:29 PM) might as well go for the stats now...... how about you try for a base hit Crede, no trying to go yard. Play some dare I say smallball? that was rather cynical on my part.
-
congrats Jim. On your stats.

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Sep 18, 2006 -> 07:15 PM) at least 2005 was our year. hell yeah, brother! Even this year they were "in it" until the last two weeks, and that's a far cry from so many other seasons. I know we all wanted them to play better and repeat. And many threads will be dedicated to the failures to do that while we wait for '07. It's hard to watch them play this bad. But they will be back in '07, I believe it.

i'll bet tiger fans are feeling good about Rogers performance tonight. What a joke. He walks that many against KC and he's going to get hammered. Right now he's up against one of the worst teams in the league.
-
at least they saved the worst for last. this is a debacle.
-
this is so predictable, get guys in position, do nothing with it. Buehrle blows.

QUOTE(Wanne @ Sep 18, 2006 -> 03:30 PM) Anybody catch Eric Neel's rant. He calls the Sox Dead Team Walking. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...mp;lid=tab1pos2 so sad, so true I'm kind of ready for it to be officially over so I can stop holding out hope for some dramatic change.

95 wins should do it. go 11-2. tigs go 6-7 twins go 7-6 we're right where we were when we started. Tied.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 18, 2006 -> 02:42 PM) Uribe cant hit anything yet starts every single game. haven't you heard? If Juan gets hot he can carry this team.
-
I like the idea of Fields or anyone else but Thome in there. He's a great guy and he carried the team early on but now he sucks for whatever reason and we need to score runs. Maybe the cool temps will inspire memories of last fall... From Reifert... Monday, September 18, 2006, 3:15 pm Tonight's Lineup Ozuna, LF Iguchi, 2B Dye, RF Thome, DH PK, 1B Crede, 3B AJ, C BA, CF Uribe, SS Buehrle pitching. Optimism Our three starters in this series are a combined 37-16 lifetime against the Tigers: Buehrle, 11-6, 2.80 Garcia, 14-5, 3.81 Garland, 12-5, 4.21

QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Sep 18, 2006 -> 08:27 AM) The guy in the Sun-Times hinted at the fact that some of them were talking recently about their offseason plans, as if they wanted the season to end. Buehrle even ADMITS (!!!) their might be some "hangover" effect from winning last year while playing this year, where guys don't want it as much. words fail to convey how disappointing this is

QUOTE(shoota @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 04:12 PM) This team shows less life than a hospitalized Terri Schaivo. and fewer people trying to keep it alive QUOTE(cgaudin @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 04:09 PM) Dude, please. It's over. wrong

QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 9, 2006 -> 11:08 PM) I'll always respect Ditka and I'll always respect Ozzie. Love 'em both and what they did for the greatest city in the United States, a city without a baseball title until Oz and the White Sox kicked some postseason ass.

I would take some urgency or fire. Some sort of respect for the fact that they are the crown holders, the defending champions. At least a Michael Jordan "no bullets left" sort of approach. I hate apathy. -

I don't blame him for not throwing strikes to Scutaro. He's hitting .252 -

while I'm happy for Frank, I am so glad to see his sorry ass on another team. -

Yesterday's outing by our pen was the most gutless display of pitching I've seen in a long time. They were literally afraid to throw strikes. I'd stick with Contreras for as long as he can handle the heat.
