  1. is Ramirez a single away from the cycle?
  2. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 12:04 PM) You know you suck when Jason starts clowning you. Good post! giving up chris young and an aged, injury prone pitcher to bring in Javy as the fifth starter is a bad deal?
  3. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 11:59 AM) Still waiting for the Vazquez apologist to come back and defend their man. I don't think he's as bad as he's pitching lately. Just look at his track record. He turned it around in the 2nd half last year and I'd be real surprised if Ozzie/Coop/KW give up on him so quick.
  4. that was a very good opportunity to get the lead right there.
  5. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 11:29 AM) Besides the, well we will rally. Do you think it was the right decision not to pinch hit for Contreras down by a run, with a man on 2nd and 1 out when we are in the 6th inning with rain on the way. Absolutely not - he should've been pulled for sure. I think Count's streak was in play on that decision and it should not have been.
  6. Sox are still getting on base and swinging the bats - I'd be very surprised if they were done scoring for the day.
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 11:15 AM) It will be interesting to hear how anyone can support that move. Maybe the sight on Politte in the pen made ozzie choke.
  8. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 11:12 AM) Actually AJ on the Mike North show has said that he and Widger call all the pitches. That they look over for if a pitch out is being called. I don't think Widge is calling for Count to throw belt-high fastballs down the middle.
  9. I like wherever they have the field mic, you can hear ozzie barking/rooting.
  10. i've yet to see count throw that 96 mph fastball at the knees.
  11. Anderson's inability to execute is magnified in an NL park. I hope Mack gets 2 starts this weekend.

  13. I thought Clifford got knocked around a bit in AAA, no? A little down there translates into a lot up here. I'm pulling for him, but until he gets his shoulder operated on I don't see his problems going away.
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 06:03 PM) Wasn't the majority of the negative posts in this thread about our approach at the plate? Even the biggest Sox homers couldn't have been pleased with the swings we took in the first 6 innings. I think some of the credit goes to the pitcher, IMO. Luckily he started leaving that breaking ball up in the 7th.
  15. man, I'm sorry I don't get to see the Sox pitchers bat everyday. This is real exciting.
