The Twins are set up to sweep this series with Radke and Santana pitching tonight and tomorrow. Not good. And from what I've read in their papers, the Twins are feeling very loose right now playing with nothing to lose. Freddy, you must step up my Venezuelan friend. Anyone else notice that that since he hit the triple off Rivera in NY, Juan Uribe is really starting to stroke it at the plate? He's laying off the low and away breaking ball that was his nemesis. He's working the count and fouling off a ton of pitches. And when he does make contact he's absolutely belting the ball. He's 6 for 14 (.428) since that triple. Man...if he gets going that would be huge!

It's funny how nostalgia can blind some people to reality. I've been to a few games at Fenway and have to admit your analysis is correct, although I had great luck getting seats at face value right outside the park. I also watched them play NY one night which was very exciting. But the fans were very annoying...I can only imagine how much more annoying they are now being the champs.

playing the devil's advocate, this three game set could get the Twins on a roll in the wild card race. If they take 2 of 3 or sweep the Sox in Chicago, they're going to be pumped. They've got the pitching lined up for it, too. That's why I think this series is very important. They're playing for their playoff lives, and the Sox need to match that intensity.
