  1. what was that remark that Monroe made about the white sox awhile back?
  2. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 07:26 PM) just my opinion but any of you who actually for one minute say anything about anybody on this years team is really not even close to a whitesox fan! even vizcaino has been huge under the radar! thanks so much for setting us straight man! I'll never be critical again!! Ever!! All thanks to you whitesoxmanager!!!
  3. Joe. Juan. I'm eating s*** right now. thanks.
  4. with the way Rod Allen talks up the Tigers on their broadcast you'd think they were worth a s*** and not a doormat competing with the Royals for last.
  5. Damn the Sox play good defense. Terrific relay, great job of blocking the plate. I hope that proves to be a big play.
  6. Tad chased that pitch because the s***ty ump called that first low ball a strike.
  7. QUOTE(hi8is @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 05:49 PM) hey ginger kid, im right by burbank right now... im off sherman way and the 405 =P I'm in an office on Verdugo and Pass, near Warner Bros.
  8. Crede's new burns...I think it's the difference maker he and Walk have been looking for.
  9. QUOTE(hi8is @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 05:42 PM) this tigers pitch is sposed to be mr. stud, so far this is true? wicked slider
  10. I love it! Duque came back and threw the SAME first pitch to Inge as he hit out in the first and he took it for a strike!
  11. I'm really hoping that Uribe's AB's in Cleveland, where he hit the ball hard with nothing to show for it, will pay off tonight.
  12. A little rust from the duke. The Tiger announcers said that the #1 and #4 hitters are hitting over .400 against the Duke this year. Wow.
  13. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 03:26 PM) this is why I'd prefer not to say. If you want to email me...
  14. The market is weird this year. Watch out for the last week in July. It's only next week but that's when some teams are really going to take stock of their season and fish or cut bait. I happen to believe that one of those teams is the Los Angeles Dodgers. If the Mets have any sense at all they will also look to deal. I'm not trying to sound like some blowhard douche bag, I'm really not. But I work with someone who's married to a member of the white sox. I pick her brain on occasion when she's on the west coast and we spoke recently about the sense on the team that a trade is going to be made. She says these guys don't want it. They like what they have and don't want to f*** with it. She said they really do get along very well (although there are the occasional tools!).
  15. I'm confused, don't the Sox still have a roster spot available? I thought Walker was sent down to make room for the duke, no?
  16. QUOTE(longshot7 @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 01:20 PM) I watch 85% of all the Angels games as well as the Sox - and there is no way the Sox aren't every bit as good - IF NOT BETTER. The Angels have a good lineup - but it too has been very inconsistent (and in a weak division.) Add to this the Sox rotation which is the best in baseball.... this just shows these so-called experts have not watched us play. the lineup isn't that great, on paper, but what counts is results - which we have. I think there's room for an in-depth comparison of the Sox, Angels, and Red Sox lineups (the only guaranteed teams IMO in the playoffs.). Maybe later.... you and me both, brother. I watch a lot of Angels games and listen to a lot of their radio talk and can tell you without a doubt that they can be beat. YES, the Angels are good, very good. And Vlad is superhuman, it's true. BUT THERE'S NOT ANOTHER ROTATION IN THE f***ING MAJORS AS GOOD AS THE SOX.
  17. I hope some in attendance remember that #30 put some crooked numbers up for the Sox for a long time.
  18. Beliard also complained that "Chicago played good, they pitched good, but sometimes they hit the ball on the end of the bat and it fell in." Yeah, that's sort of the idea, Ronnie.
