I would rather see Peavy gone than Danks. Younger arm with stuff. Wonder if there are any thoughts for Matt Thornton being converted to starting? With Beurhle and Peavy gone (possibility) there would be room for 2 starters. Sale and ??????

I would hope he is gone. He is not a RFer. He is the IR list waiting to happen, every year, and is a salary eater. Even if he is only worth a couple of single A scrubs, at least his departure would open a spot for young talent, no matter what that source might be. Sticking DH types in RF ( see Jermaine Dye ) is a bad solution to a bad plan.

I don't get the love for Cooper unless one ignores the entire staff's penchant for reaching the 100+ pitch count by the 5th inning syndrome, the entire SP staff seems afflicted with. I know the innings worked statistic is available, but is the pitches thrown stat available?

Zach Stewart would get my vote, but he might do it for some other club if Kenny is still around to trade him for another aging washed up DH.
