I just subscribed to MLB.com, so I will get to hear different announcers. Should be interesting. Major dislike about Harrelson and DJ, is the constant " education " on baseball. Makes it feel like a lecture instead of a ball game is taking place. Maybe if this were my first baseball game I would feel different, but the constant explanations drives me nutz.

The conversation sounds inane, but it was A J's version. Maybe that was how it went, maybe it wasn't.

How do you see them as being different, unless you think homosexuality is a choice and the other 2 are not.

In the context of his Mariotti's rant, what does this mean? WNBA players are Lesbians ( I am sure the standard percentage of players are, just like MLB )? Palmeiro, McGwire, Sosa had their chance to "come clean" and didn't. Instead they lied in front of a Congressional committee. They had the chance to prepare and seek legal advice before they lied. Grimsley was trapped like a rat. I am sure his reaction is the same as it would have been for anyone else in that situation. He didn't lie. Not saying anything, as Ozzie would like Grimsley to do, is the same as lying, and they would have carted his ass off in cuffs and ripped his home and family life apart. I don't think defending cheaters and lawbreakers had priority in his immediate situation. Now that he has had time to get counseled by the legal experts on how to shut his mouth, he is. These enablers and defenders for cheaters is an industry into itself. Grimsley did a normal thing. Ozzie does not need to pile on. It will only hurt the Sox in the long run. The rampant use of illegal beans happens because , to date, only a handful of players have talked. Honor goes just so far, and this good old boy, fraternity of brothers crap needs to stop.

How is A J different than Torii Hunter? Baseball needs to take thet play out of baseball. Maybe players will just start crashing into infielders on DP balls next. ....but, but, but........ Hawk and DJ , on a broadcast last week, said every single Sox player got along so well last year. They had never seen such behavior on any other team in their memory.
