While it would be great to have problems like this, isn't Colon our 1 starter if we get him, And wouldn't Kenny be getting some revenge on Mark by relegating him to the #2 spot (as well as holding down his salary).
Just thought i'd pass along something that was interesting. And by the way, in regards to the rumors--Isn't that what most people do on here? Talk about trade possibilites. And I don't consider this a waste of time.
Allegedly, a Boston Radio station is reporting that the White Sox and Expos are working on a deal to bring Colon to Chicago. I saw this on the espn white sox board. Does this make sense-- i bet KW is going to really overpay for this deal and I am sure that he will be giving them lots of cash!
There are some real intersting non-tendered free agents. Included are Jeff Suppan-- not a bad starter, Robert Fick, Al Levine(better then Ginter!), Jose Cruz Jr., and Chris Singleton(as a 4th outfielder).
Come on KW is saving the money so he can spend it on Ritchie, Parque,-- maybe even Tanyon Sturtze. You wouldn't want an 18 game winner over them would you? lol What a joke!!
Rather than Pepsi Park, I think KW and JR might feel that the park should be called Payless Park (as in the shoe store)-- since that is what they do for all free agents! You know they have to be creative.
colon may not be coming here but there will be a deal made somewhere along the line you can count on that much....as far as paulie is concerned he like everyone else is fair game........
Is Williams still dealing now or is he back in Chicago? A friend in San Franciso says that they have heard that Lee would be the key player from the Sox? Ideas?
While the Sox have tried this before, they are seriously attempting to get a naming rights deal done before the new season. This makes a lot of sense because the winning bidder gets their name all over the park for the All Star game.
Is a major soft drink company in he running?
