This is proof that you can get respect without showing respect.

whoa, I feel guilty laughing at that one ...Sorry tex, but that was terrible.

I can remember getting Prodigy internet in '94 (I believe). This is not "pre-internet experience", but the internet was a lot different then.

Teresa is kinder to her body

Home, then next year it is off to college.

Please, she has a bag over her head. Sex in the florida keys is way too classy for her. Anal sex in a run down truck stop bathroom sounds up her alley (no pun intended).

This is a tough call. I like both of these teams and they match up pretty well. Oswalt vs. Wright I like Oswalt, but he is a little guy so 3 days rest isn't going to be fun. I pick the Braves in a high scoring game...8-5 Setting up Braves vs. Cardinals. Which will be a massive collapse by the cardinals. Braves win in 5. Yanks vs. Red Sox. Red Sox sweep the Yankees. Braves vs. Red Sox. I will be rooting for the BoSox, but c'mon, they are never going to win the series. So Atlanta in 7.

Sorry for the delayed response Jim. So I think we both agree that there would not be a mess to clean up, it would just be a lost season. That is of course unless the current players somehow managed to play like they have never played before.

You should have stayed at a holiday inn express, then I would believe you.

Before I send out my condolences, I know people suffering from paralysis are more likely to have an infection because the immune system and lungs are weakened. I believe Christopher Reeve is truly a hero. I can not think of a person who fought so hard to battle death. He fought paralysis as superman would and though he lost, he will always remembered for the inspiration his fight gave to millions. Thank you Christopher Reeve for giving this country a true hero that we can all look up to. My thoughts are with all of his loved ones.

His glove made him one of my favirotes.

RIP. He lived hard but he sure knew how to hit a baseball. Its a shame that a player who was decent even off of steroids will always be remembered for fessing up to using steroids in '96.

Tell that to Michael J. Fox who is praying for stem cell research to be expanded to embryonic stem cells. His wish might not come true because some guy heard from his friends that only pussies vote against the war in Iraq. Or tell that to the young Afghan boy who worries that a decreased american involvement in the region will cause the taliban to regain control of his country. Yet some guy is going to vote against Bush because he saw on Fuse that Bush is for censorship.

I do have a problem with his argument. How dare he criticize two artists who are creating art based on their opinions. That would be the same as someone ripping sean penn for creating an anti-war movie or something to that affect. And yes IMO, it would be terribly stupid for someone who knows nothing about politics or the issues to vote. The issues are too important, too much is at stake both ways. Wars, money, peoples livelihoods are affected by the election. If that person watches the debates and forms an opinion based on the issues, that is different. That person should definately vote.

I agree and disagree. Could a person from this board step in and build a world series team, probably not. However I don't think a person from this would run the team into the ground either. Lets say in this hypothetical situation that the players and the other GM's do not boycott and refuse to work with a fan GM. This is what would happen: First of all: 1- Most trade proposal's would probably be rejected. Fans tend to over value their team's players & prospects. It would be hard to get screwed in a trade when one can't be created. 2- As long as the new GM was given a cap by JR, then the new GM would not ruin the team financially. 3- Most of us are not the type of fan who only goes for a player's name value. I don't think any of us here would trade away the farm for say Barry Zito. Most Soxtalk posters are knowledgeable when in the statistical revolution and are aware of the importance of prospects. Where we would be screwed: 1- The draft. Noone on this site would be able to carry out a successful draft. Too much weight would either be put into raw statistics, or a scout's word. Then again drafts don't produce 25 major leaguers anyways, so the team might get too badly screwed. 2- Negotiations. I don't know of any sports lawyers on this site. So the little nuances of the negotiation might get screwed up.

1- Recognize a Palestinian State. The Palestinian State would recieve funding for rebuilding the many damaged settlements, building a police force, and setting up a democratic government. A palestinian state that justly rules its people would end the pali-israeli conflicts. 2- End funding for failing government programs such as the drug war, and NASA. The money can be spent on more pressing domestic issues. I don't think that we can possibly win the drug war, so any money going into that is wasted. And Space exploration is better left in the hands of private companies. 3- Legalize all stem cell research. Health is the most important thing. Right now using existing stem cells has had great benefits, embryonic stem cells have even more promise. Stem cells are already helping many cancer patients by replenishing immune cells, allowing doctors to use a more aggressive chemo-therapy regiment. 4- Tax any company that outsources. The tax should not be so large that it causes companies to not outsource at all, but it should end some outsourcing, and allow the government to earn money.

9/10 of us would probably have the Sox in a better situation if we were in KW's place.

Angry Memo to Sean Penn: I hope your next movie flops you piece of s***. -1549 P.S. Take a trip with me to a movie theater where American's that suffer from problems in their own lives will never understand are laughing. These people are able to lose their troubles for a few hours and have fun. When we return perhaps you will understand.

ARTICLE SEAN PENN RIPS 'TEAM AMERICA' CREATORS IN ANGRY MEMO **Exclusive** October 6, 2004 To Trey Parker and Matt Stone, I remember a cordial hello when you guys were beginning to be famous guys around Hollywood at some party. I remember several times getting a few giggles out of your humor. I remember not being bothered as you traded on my name among others to appear witty, above it all, and likeable to your crowd. I never mind being of service, in satire and silliness. I do mind when anybody who doesn't have a child, doesn't have a child at war, or isn't or won't be in harm's way themselves, is encouraging that there's "no shame in not voting" "if you don't know what you're talking about" (Mr. Stone) without mentioning the shame of not knowing what your talking about, and encouraging people to know. You guys are talented young guys but alas, primarily young guys. It's all well to joke about me or whomever you choose. Not so well, to encourage irresponsibility that will ultimately lead to the disembowelment, mutilation, exploitation, and death of innocent people throughout the world. The vote matters to them. No one's ignorance, indcluding a couple of hip cross-dressers, is an excuse. All best, and a sincere f*** you, Sean Penn P.S. Take this as a personal invitation from me to you (you can ask Dennis Miller along for the ride as well) to escort you on a trip, which I took last Christmas. We'll fly to Amman, Jordan and I'll ride with you in a (?) 12 hours through the Sunni Triangle into Fallujah and Baghdad and I'll show you around. When we return, make all the fun you want.

It has to be solved...that is all there is to say.

I go back an fourth about doing ROTC in college. It could help pay for a lot of my tuition, but I really have no desire for a military career.

15-7 in favor of bush??? Look at the polls heads had up this summer, I voted for bush. Anyone who thinks bush won this debate either A-did not watch or B-is blinded by their own opinions
