  1. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:31 PM) Or maybe he just thought he had a chance if he gave it an all out full extention dive. I doubt there was any hidden agenda to an attempted diving catch. Runner on first, 2 outs, runner going on the pitch, if BA somehow makes the play, the inning is over, no runs score. If he doesnt dive, and plays it off the wall, the run scores, Mags is on 2nd. If he dives and does not make the play, worst case scenario is Mags is on 3rd with 2 outs. Mags would not have turned that into an inside the park HR. So tell me, if BA thinks there is a chance he can get that ball, why not make the play?
  2. Good AB by Granderson, better performance by Bobby
  3. Bobby drops the hammer, I love it when he throws that curve for strikes!
  4. BMAC again looks good. NOW GET SOME f***ING RUNS!!!!!!!!
  5. QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 09:07 PM) Huh? Who plays CF if BA goes down?
  6. 6 innings of 3 run ball, Freddy did fine considering. Get him out now and for the love of God, get some runs!!
  7. QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 08:42 PM) next thing you know BA is going to hurt Jermaine. Maybe that will convince BA's two or three remaining supporters that HE'S GOT TO GO!!!!!!!!! If a CF backs off of that ball, they ARE NOT DOING THEIR JOB. BA isn't always at fault!!
  8. QUOTE(Wedge @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 08:41 PM) Anderson, minors, now. He's taking it into the field now, too. Look, that there was the CFs ball and the replay showed Anderson calling for the ball... that is not Anderson's fault.
  9. QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 07:58 PM) BA == nice guys but this ain't a frat party. we're trying to get back to October. Party on with BA and we're going home. Well, who else on this roster do you sugguest fills the hole? If you're advocating a trade, I agree with you, but Mack has cost this team more games with his lack of range in CF as BA has at the plate.
  10. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 02:09 PM) IF this is true, and I think it's BS, then say bye to BMac. I will be very upset if BMAC is dealt this season, especially for the oft-injured Jr.
  11. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 02:25 PM) personally, i was one of the few who advocated a deal for him in the off season as insurance for anderson. id love to see him here, 5 tools, and just figuring it out again. and he can steal up 6 runs in the 7th on my team anyday, I agree. If Baltimore was willing to deal, I would be all for trading for a 5 tool guy who is still in his 20s.
  12. QUOTE(CWSOX45 @ Jun 2, 2006 -> 09:10 PM) You know who you should blame for the wave? A) Bob Rohrman B) Joan Cusack. I loathe both of them..... Oh come on now, Cusack I agree with, but there is only one... Bob ROOOHHHRMAN!! And thank you Papelbon, thats a Red SOx winner!!
  13. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 2, 2006 -> 09:07 PM) You here that noise? It's the mother f***ing wave. I hate the wave, especially at Sox games. JG needs to get another big out here.
  14. QUOTE(jphat007 @ May 31, 2006 -> 07:41 PM) Why would anyone, meaning from the team, bother? He's had only two bad starts all year. Exactly. This game so far should not be on Freddy, the offense needs to get more than 3 runs of westbrook. Way to start things off JD, let's get some f***ing runs!
  15. Isn't what Hawk just said about pitchers applicable to lots of sports... every mistake a QB makes has massive ramifications, and everytime they drop back to throw could be their last. Also of note, middle of the order needs to pick Cintron up from third right there
  16. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 31, 2006 -> 03:18 PM) Especially since he is better against RHP. Agreed. As far as tonight goes, Freddy is a big game pitcher and even though this isn't a day game, I'm expecting a good outing.
  17. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ May 31, 2006 -> 01:06 PM) how long do you stick with him and allow him to hit under .200? You stick with BA until there is an adequate defensive CF you can replace him with. Ideally he would be hitting better than .200, but as has been mentioned many times on this board, Mack or Pods in CF everyday would be more detrimental to this team than BA's hitting currently is. Ideally if the Sox could find a competent CF somewhere, BA could be sent down to work through the problems he's having at the plate. Right now though, this team cannot afford to send him down.
  18. Come on now Mark, get out of this.
  19. QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ May 30, 2006 -> 06:21 PM) He got the W in his last start. That's all that matters. If the game was closer he would have definitely focused more and hit the corners. But when you are pitching with the lead, you let the other team hit. That is what he did and it worked out for him. Garland knows how to pitch. He is a fierce competitor and I would want him out there for game 1 of the world series. Over Contreras? You have to be kidding me right?
