Loaded up!! Let's get a big hit from Crede here -
QUOTE(keninem @ May 22, 2006 -> 03:48 PM) AJ told them to have Mariotti meet him in the dugout if he wants to write an article about him. LOL Kornheiser was loving that comment. AJ is great

Hopefully Jon has good stuff tonight and the Sox can manage to scratch out a couple runs off Zito. Furthermore, does anyone know if the organization is doing anything for Frank's return? And if so, will it be braodcast on Comcast? -
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 18, 2006 -> 05:40 PM) And he's still an annoying f*** DRays fan. Someone needs to rip out his voice box No argument from me on that one. And I hate innings like that... make the pitcher work!

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 18, 2006 -> 05:39 PM) Yay, more annoying stupid f*** DRay fans I think it's the same guy from last night

QUOTE(aboz56 @ May 18, 2006 -> 03:45 PM) Great, s***ty ass lineup. I agree. I hate this lineup, I get scared everytime I see Pablo in the outfield. Hopefully Javy has a great outing and the Sox take the series.

QUOTE(daa84 @ May 17, 2006 -> 05:45 PM) ugh nothing was worse than the walkoff 3 run shot by crawford off of koch...still one of my very worst memories of the last 5 years Is this going to get brought up in every TB gamethread this year? Bad flashbacks to that bomb. -

QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ May 17, 2006 -> 08:56 AM) Am I the only one who is pretty excited about this final this afternoon? I have the DVR up and running and I'm expecting a pretty close, very exciting game. Barcelona 2 Arsenal 1 Im excited. I'll be watching the game closely and seeing the Gunners win 2-1. -

QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ May 16, 2006 -> 06:35 PM) I guess I should just look the other way with Anderson's awful hitting. How many hitters break into the league and tear the cover off the ball? How many years did we wait for Crede to come around? All you need out of BA (and I have said this since the Rowand trade) is to play good defense and learn major league pitching as he goes. If BA hits .250 of the season, it's a success for his rookie year. -

Wish Kazmir had thrown more pitches that inning. -

QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ May 16, 2006 -> 06:02 PM) YOU f***ING LEVEL KAZMIR AT THE PLATE. WTF is Pods thinking? Umm, I'm pretty sure that run was less important than keeping Pods healthy. A big guy can run him over maybe, but not Pods. -

I love that BMAC is getting this start. I'll be wearing my BMAC 41 jersey (bought during the playoffs last year) while watching him be efficient for 70 pitches. -
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 11, 2006 -> 02:09 AM) Yes. There is definitely a tendancy to give up on players way to quick. I mean, Joe Crede can be the poster boy of what can happen if you stay patient with a talented player but it's just hard for some people to grasp taht concept. Could not agree more. There are very few players that immediately make the transition to the big league level, whether it be to the pitching or the hitters. Guys like Crede and Derrick Lee are perfect examples of what happens to talented players when you are patient with them. That's why it bothers me when people are so quick to trash Anderson, give him time and remember the Sox don't need him to be a hall of fame hitter right now. As far as Haeger goes, obviously the organization didn't think he showed enough in this outing to merit a second one, especially considering that Contreras should only miss 1 more start, but I think it is safe to say that it is far to early to give up on Haeger as a major leaguer.

QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 08:52 PM) Now, how sad is it when you can go 1/4 and RAISE your batting average? Haha. He actually went 1-3. Pretty good night for BA.

BA gets the job done, YES!! Keep the train rolling Pods

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 21, 2006 -> 08:46 PM) I hope not. Mark deserves to finish this game. If not that, let him get the 1st out, then have Oz pull him to let the fans give him his due. Mark. Agree with this 100%. Hell of a duel by the starters tonight, now let's see BA pick up Crede for 3rd and get a bit more insurance.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 19, 2006 -> 02:00 PM) I don't know how people could hate Mihneutwapureajwiez that much. He's a piss poor baseball player who have never played past A ball if not for his defense. He was always the guy on the Twins I hated the most.

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Apr 17, 2006 -> 12:10 PM) Someone should tell that to the kids who come up from Champaign. I'll be one of those kids making the drive up to Champaign... for the second time in 4 days. I need to leave Champaign for good before I go broke from gas $$

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 11:25 AM) Who else thinks Thome is going to hit 100 homers this year? Just 100? I think that estimate seems conservative. Just wait till Thome gets hot. -

That run is completely on AJ. Absolutely unacceptable. -
Sox hold on for the win, thank goodness. I'm in class, unable to watch the game, and Gamecase doesnt say anthing about velocity. As far as AROW vs. BA goes, last year I remember Rowand misplaying at least 2 balls toward the end of the season when Jenks pitched that dropped in front of him. Does anyone think this is because Jenks throws so hard? That the CFs are immediately going back on balls his right at them? Just a thought.
