  1. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Aug 22, 2010 -> 04:12 PM) Let's go Angels!!! Why? Doesn't affect us. You know what I mean, and you know I'm right.
  2. So...how's it gonna happen here? Walk-off HR or a walk and two singles? Any other ideas for the heartbreaking loss coming right here?
  3. This season is over. If we can't win that game right there considering the Delmon Young crap, Alexei's homerun, finally getting a lead, etc THEN we just can't win it this year. 2010 IS OVER.
  4. QUOTE (Wanne @ Aug 17, 2010 -> 10:27 PM) I think that hit single handedly ruined my entire season to the point I think I'm gonna cash it in. f*** you Ozzie. And f*** you Kenny for not having the balls to tell Ozzie to shove it up his ass. And btw...f*** you Thome. You're on the Twins now so go f*** yourself. I'm with you. This season is over. If we can't win that game right there considering the Delmon Young crap, Alexei's homerun, finally getting a lead, etc THEN we just can't win this year. 2010 IS OVER.
  5. Paulie's AB right there might have been the tipping point of the season. That could have lit a fuse big time. If we lose this game after all that, it's curtains for 2010.
  6. I think there's a 50/50 chance that the season is over on Thursday
  7. QUOTE (Sox72 @ Aug 12, 2010 -> 08:57 PM) Pessimist. No. Just a guy who watches the Sox every night, and knows a turd when he sees one. I've seen too many games against the Twins the last several years. I'm starting to dread seeing them on the schedule at all.
  8. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 12, 2010 -> 08:56 PM) the beauty is that we're still within striking range and still get last at bats My next question would be: How often do the Twins "pull a Jenks" in the 9th inning?
  9. QUOTE (Sox72 @ Aug 12, 2010 -> 08:52 PM) Not even close. Probably a lot closer than you think, actually.
  10. How many times in the last 10 years do you think the Twins have had the bases loaded with no outs, and failed to score? I bet it happens 3/100 times (or less).
  11. Well, we're 1 game back now and momentum is working against us big-time. Really need to win the next two to regain some swagger. It seems like if we played the Twins 162 games a year, we would go 30-132 every year. It sure seems that way.
  12. JimBowdenXMFOX "Tim Kurkjian of ESPN reporting that the Nationals told him directly they are NOT trading Dunn to the White Sox for Edwin Jackson" 9 minutes ago via web
  13. Sounds like we may have "mystery starter" pitching for us tonight (or Pena). Kinda makes me nervous with the DH with the Tigers coming up soon.
  14. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 27, 2010 -> 04:05 PM) That third pitch to Rios was such a bad call. Got Marmol back in the count. Also the 4th pitch.
  15. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 28, 2009 -> 09:37 PM) And I still disagree. If CQ is injury prone then so be it. If he can play, he should play. Fair enough. Another thought I had is that maybe we should work Contreras and Dotel like rented mules and wear their asses out while we still have 'em
  16. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 28, 2009 -> 09:32 PM) He's had plenty of days off this season (including September and the playoffs last year). No reason at all to give him time off. I meant for the sake of his heel, not fatigue.
  17. It's time to do the wise thing, and finish the season as if we are 20 games back. -Don't rush Peavy -Give CQ lots of days off -Put Danks, Floyd, and Mark on pitch counts Even the most optomistic fans have to ask themselves what about this team makes you think they have any chance at the playoffs? Just call the season what it is, and use September to prepare for next year.
  18. QUOTE (nastymasty21 @ Aug 18, 2009 -> 10:36 PM) im with you man. No reason to risk injury to a hurt pitcher who we have invested a ton of money into for years to come. Why rush him back to pitch for a non contrender Especially since his arm is fine, he really doesn't even need the AAA starts. Just give him the entire offseason to rest up and get ready for 2010. No need to do anything the organization might regret.
  19. I hate to say it but this season is about 3 or 4 days from being over. Seriously, it may not be a bad idea to put Peavy on the shelf until spring. It's so frustrating because there is no reason the team should be as bad as they are. Major disappointment. What do you think about giving Peavy one or two more starts in AAA and then calling it a season?
  20. For some reason the TV Ants link is showing Angels-Orioles. Anybody know what's up?
  21. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jul 31, 2009 -> 04:01 PM) I am really diggin that Beckham in the 2 hole. That's what she said.
  22. Any ideas on how to watch the Fox broadcast in Birmingham? We are forced to watch the Braves. I can't seem to find it on the P2P sites... Thanks!
