  1. I hope he wins. The Sox have a great history of great catchers. My only regret is the way they treated Fisk after he retired. Olivio has all the raw talent to be one of the best. I just loved the look in the Yankees dugout when a shy rookie slapped a three run of their expensive crybaby Pettite
  2. I am just happy there are people who realize the truth for what it is.
  3. I liked it to. But why when we had a chance to give it to them last presidential election didn't any body vote for Nader?
  4. I know a lot of people could care less, but I am just happy that BAseball is back. I will watch any team any time. I do not care who is playing even though I prefer the Sox. I know I am going to get some haters for this one but let me explain. I will watch the Cubs game only if Mark Prior is pitching. Unlike a lot of people out their I just like to watch good baseball players play the game. Especially if they are pitchers. If you are a TRUE BASEBALL FAN you have to give a good player his just deserves. You don't hate Gehrig, Ruth, Williams, etc. just because they weren't Sox do you? BUT MARK GRACE STILL SUCKS
  5. I don;t know if any one actually looks at profiles but if you do let me explain before I get any hate mail. I said my favorite Sox moment was when Comiskey died. It is because instead of the teen era Sox known as the greatest dynasty, or the Sox being the greatest single season team (you pick a year) of all time they are remembered as the Black Sox. Because he under paid them, and treated them like dirt. For those of you who don't know, they were called the Black Sox before the scandal because Comiskey refused to pay for the teams jersey laundry, so the players would show up in filthy uniforms. If any one wants to argue about the Sox being the greatest dynasty remember that guy called Jackson batted .408 his rookie season in the dead ball era, they had four 20 game winners, Eddie Collins on second, Weaver on third. Sould I go on. So that is why the greatest Sox moment is Comiskey's death. The Sox could have been America's team if it wasn't for Comiskey's cheapness. As far as Jackson accepting a bribe he didn't. He told Comiskey about the fix and showed him the money he was offered. Comiskey told him to,"Get the hell out and keep your mouth shut!" Oh yeah JAckson was the greatest hitter that ever played the game. If you want back up just ask Babe Ruth, & I think his baseball opinion counts more than mine
  6. It may not be a who's who list but it is a list of who might the future alla Munoz & WUnsch
  7. I did not mean yesterday's game was important stats wise as some of you assumed, but being an ex athlete, as I know a lot of you are, think about it. Pre-season games always let you know what you need to work on. So it is important in that sence. It also can make or break a person's confidence. Just the past few days Jerry Manuel said he was not to sure if Daubach will be on the roster, but that a lot of things would have to go wrong to not be on it. I think him going 5-5 these past days probably dismissed any doubts Jerry or Daubach had in his playing ability. Now tomorrow, Munoz is pitching. He is a young player wwith a nasty curveball. But that nasty curveball means nothing if he cannot gain the confidence to use it in a live situation. Need proof of this confidence. Who remember Ankiel. NAsty Breaker and 90+ mph fastball. The next Nolan. Blew it in the playoff, then spring traing comes he even blew it even more. Started to question himself if he belong at that level. So it is important to let a team know who needs work in what area & if they should go down a class to work on it. To sum up, no, spring training will not make or break a season, but it can change the picture of what your starting day roster may or may not look like. Oh Yah, THE CUBS STILL SUCK

    OPEN YOUR EYES!

My politics are in the middle. I personally think Saddam should go, but we should have finished what we started in Afghanistan. As far as this being a CORPRATE COUNTRY, it is true. Our nation is so brain washed that we perceive advertisements for fashion. Everytime you put on a Nike, Adidas, Tommy Hillfiger, etc. shirt look at yourself in the mirror. Look at what is on your chest. That Swoosh sign, Tommy signature, etc is not fashion. It is their corprate logo. True or false? And you just paid $30+ to walk around sporting a corprate logo. You paid to become a HUMAN BILLBOARD. Do you need more proof that our population is brain washed. Every Super Bowl what is the big news story? What are the advertisements going to be. We have millions of people sitting on their couches, actually tuning in, & waiting to be advertised to. Or how about this, every election what do we all say? "All the politicians are corrupt. I'm just going to vote for whoever will steal less." We freely accept that our government is for corprate America and do nothing about it. We accept that our government bails out corporations with multi-billion dollar loans or tax cuts but they don't have a extra million dollars for public school children who are over crowded & under teached. I could go on & on but I won't. Oh ya for you guys that think I am some ranting hippie, I'm not. I am an Enginner student who was a highschool wrestler, baseball player, and a highschool Heisman nominee. I am also a fowl hunter.
  9. Today's game is going to be a real test. Our guys are matched up against one of the greatest pitching duos baseball has ever seen. This is a not only a very obvious offensive test, but we get to compare our new pitching 1,2 punch with the bench mark in baseball. I don't know about you, but I think I would rather have Alomar catch because, I really believe as far as active players go, no one calls a better game than he does. The other way to look at it is I would also rather have Olivio start to gain experience and get to know our staffs quirks in a live situation. That probably is the better way to go, but I would enjoy seeing Alomar and our staff just embarrass Arizona.I just hope that he can pass on that knowledge to Olivio, because Olivio has all the raw talent to be a great catcher. I especially want this since Chicago has a history of great catchers. As far as the winner of this game, you just know it's going be nothing but the South Side Hitmen.
  10. Just joined because I got tired of looking at posts of fair weather fans who do not know the White Sox or their history let alone Baseball's. I doubt they even know what a baseball looks like (does this description remind you of a die hard Cub fan ) Talk again soon
