  1. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 11:00 PM) No, and I have that file and it plays fine in Windows media player. You downloaded this file correct LINK? Yeah that is the one. It tells me I may not support the file type or right codec
  2. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 10:53 PM) You downloaded the entire file already? Yeah it only took a minute. It keeps telling me that Windows Media player cannot support it. Have you ever had this problem?
  3. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 10:42 PM) As long as you have a media player, Windows Media player, divx, quicktime, etc. you just would play the file through those. It keeps saying that I cant support it. I have the latest Media Player and everything.
  4. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 10:21 PM) I don't have a hard copy of the game. You can download the game here though Illini Torrent Do you know how to get the file to play once I have downloaded it?
  5. I was just wondering if anybody has a copy of the IL/AZ Elite 8 game from this past year. I lost my copy of it and was wondering if I could buy one off of someone.
  6. I know this doesnt really relate to this thread, but I was just wondering if MLB.com members can download games onto there computer. I didnt tape the game tonight and this is one I definately want to have forever.
  7. QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 09:34 AM) I'm tired of Farmio and his no-sock-wearing, baseball-pants-sporting ass. I know Farmer very well and he is the biggest class act in the White Sox organization. If you knew the things he does for people you would not be so quick to say this. When I was younger, he would take me and and a friend of mine to the clubhouse and meet the team and everyone in the organization. He would also let me sit in the booth with him and watch the games a couple times a week. And it is not just me, he does this for a lot of people. So dont be so quick to say bad things about him.
  8. QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 11:23 AM) Most of us probably agree Hawk was 10X better when Pacoriek was with him. I have heard rumors but nothing specific as to why Wimpy left the Sox booth. Some of theories are: 1. Wimpy was getting a lot of publicity and was becoming a fan favorite and Hawk's ego was just too big to deal with that. 2. Reinsdorf wanted Tom to study harder and work more on his pregame preparation and he refused. 3. Spend more time with the family closer to home. 4. He and Hawk had a big blowout and in the end, the Sox would take Harrelson's side. Just wondering. I loved the two of them together and the booth hasn't been the same since. For a fact it is theories 1&4. It was because of Hawk.
  9. QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Jul 30, 2005 -> 09:12 PM) That's way too much to give. I agree...right now I would think that the Sox are trying to sure up for the post-season. They already have the starting pitching to make it through the playoffs. They can pitch Buerhle, Garcia, and Graland in the first round and add El Duque in the seven game series'. IMO since Burnett would obviously not be willing to sign an extension even if he was traded here, it is a lost cause trying to trade for a SP. We have that already. We could use some help in the bullpen just as every other team could, but dont forget that we have to stud MRP in Politte and Cotts. Not well known names but they do the job as well as anybody and dont get enough credit for it. I think that the one major need for the Sox would be to add a bat in the lineup. I dont think that it has to be a major name in order to do this. Just someone who can add a little consistency in the lineup and be a threat to drive in runs in the post season. Our major need is depth throughout the lineup. So if we can add one or two solid players like Mackowiak or someone like that we will be fine. The team is 32 games over .500 in the tougher AL for a reason. It is as good a team as any in the majors and with a couple minor tweaks.
  10. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 30, 2005 -> 09:17 PM) Do not fail to forget how Baez also improves the team. Huff and Baez turn this team into a deep-playoff team IMO. I agree that the addition of Huff and Baez would be a great step in putting the Sox over the top. Baez would be a great arm in the bullpen, not necessarily a closer for the Sox. Huff would add a much needed bat to a lineup that can be far too inconsistent at times. He would be able to take upon much of the DH role and allow for starters such as Crede, Dye, and Everett to get rest without losing pop in the lineup. IMO right now, when the starters are rested, the lineup suffers too much with Perez, Ozuna, and Harris filling in. And the Sox also have no depth in the outfield where Huff could fill in as well. As far as the postseason goes, a guy like Huff would give the Sox another guy who would be able to drive in runs...which should be a concern at this point for the Sox. The pitching is there and an addition like Baez would only strengthen the bullpen as long as we did not rely on him to close games. And Huff would deepen a lineup of so called "no names" to give them the ability to drive in runs all the way through the lineup.
  11. QUOTE(AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Jul 30, 2005 -> 05:46 PM) The Baseball Tonight crew has learned that Manny Ramirez will not be traded, ESPNews reports. OK. Ramirez was scratched tonight and the Red Sox still aren't saying why. His hamstring may be giving him problems again, but it's not just that. Jul. 30 - 7:15 pm et I wouldn't put too much stock in the Baseball Tonight crew saying that Manny will not be traded. I would be willing to bet that the 3-way deal is still in the works. From what I've heard is that since last night it was up to the Mets to be the aggressors in order for the deal to go through. They were not pulling th trigger on it. And after the problems that Manny caused in the lockerroom a few days ago, I would say that there still is a good chance he will be traded. Especially since Francona refused to comment on Manny's status and why he was pulled from the lineup.
  12. It's not likely that the Pirates will ask for anything too demanding for Mackowiak. Most likely 2 mid-level prospects from what I have heard. The only person from the MLB roster that could even be considered would be Harris.
