  1. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 07:51 PM) Duque has to be around the 95 pitch mark. I'd like to see Cotts come in for the 7th, and hopefully continue his stellar relief. speaking of cotts....when was the last time he pitched? he should pitch more than damaso in my opinion.
  2. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 07:45 PM) Am I allowed to mention the last time we had a 5-0 lead agains the Royals after 5 innings? please don't...im still trying to forget that debacle.
  3. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 07:46 PM) Wow, less than 15k at the park tonight. That's absolutely pathetic. yes it is...embarrassing really.
  4. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 07:42 PM) Last inning for Duque? if he starts to tire i hope so...ozzie leaves him in too long
  5. QUOTE(JimH @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 07:38 PM) The Boras client, the SS that I thought the Cardinals drafted, you mentioned the name a few pages back. I thought it was Khalil Greene, no? nope...Tyler Greene
  6. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 07:36 PM) cardinals are going to get no hit tonight... by glendon rusch? doubt it.
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 07:33 PM) The thing is, as good as Ozuna has been hitting, he's not a real run producer. He's perfect for the 9th spot in the lineup. There's not a doubt in my mind that our offense is better with Ozuna at 3rd base than Crede. The bottom of the lineup is the reason for the offensive surge recently...uribe and pablo have been getting the job done...no more auto 2 outs for 8 and 9 hitters. uribe has really been making pitchers work too...great to see.
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 07:29 PM) We can argue for years, but Iguchi's not moving from the 2 spot this season. i agree but i hope in the offseason they address this issue...rowand or iguichi in the 3 hole makes more sense to me...put pablo in the 2 hole....tadahito has to give up his AB's way to often.
  9. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 07:25 PM) Carl is trying to pull EVERYTHING right now is it just me or does tadahito or rowand fit the 3 hole better than carl...i think carl is a 5-6 hole hitter myself
  10. Can't get the game down here at school.....has duque had decent control today?
  11. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 07:13 PM) 92 mph from Duque? Had to be a mistake.
  12. what happened to the september tickets were going fast?....I thought I saw that advertised...seems like no one is there for the whole month so far.
  13. You could really tell that Juan was going to turn it around because of the reasons Yeast Confection posted. He was taking pitches, walks and having better ABs even if he wasn't getting hits. Since the calender has hit September it almost seems everyone has been having better AB's. Rowand, Paulie has continued to hit (was hitting in August), Dye, AJ and of course Uribe. If Pods and Tadahito start to heat up the Sox will really take flight. This is the type of September that can lead to some great things. Keep it up and make this really a season to remember!!!!
  14. BMac what a performance and a showcase of years to come....star in the making.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 01:15 PM) Needless to say, it was a sarcastic hypothetical question. i guess some just couldnt sense the sarcasm there....you are on fire today fathom!!
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 01:04 PM) I was thinking the same thing. He either looks so good or so bad. He's like a hot female celebrity without her make-up. thats post of the day quality material there!! very well done
  17. QUOTE(Reddy @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 12:58 PM) he's hitting a homer here i promise ...or walk..he seems to walk way too many people
  18. QUOTE(knightni @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 12:56 PM) love that movie...and agreed timo scares me when he does that.
  19. QUOTE(Reddy @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 12:53 PM) would you seriously not be scared? damn. you're f***ing cool. i'd be scared of a 94 mph fastball and a dude who's 6'6" chucking it at me
  20. QUOTE(the southside tiger @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 12:34 PM) Garland pitches like a coward (look guys, I was careful how I said it! ). Watch Pedro pitch. He attacks hitters. He could have faced Babe Ruth without even flinching. And he would have come right at him. He doesnt back down for anyone. Garland is scared of the hitters. He will never be a great if he doesnt gain courage. As for Ozzie, he was here last year and we stunk. Its the new guys who made us good. We are winning in spite of Ozzie. All he does is bring bad publicity with his goofy jokes. And, McCarthy, all I can say is damn. He will be on my favorites list shortly if he keeps this up. 14 straight innings without allowing a run, but unlike Garland who did his scoreless streak against Detroit and Oakland (when they stunk), BMac has done it against Boston and Texas, the two best offenses around. BMac is an aggressive pitcher, and he will soon be better than Garland could ever hope to be. Ace in the making, and a completely different pitcher than he was earlier. This kid aint scared of nothin'. Very well put...garland can still turn it around though...he has the stuff he just needs to believe in it. BMac believes in his stuff and it shows...even if he gets pasted he still believes he can get people out...thats what makes an ace. Great game BMAC!!!!
  21. i was there too...need more people to go to the game..... only 25,000 on a friday pitiful....this will be a september and october( ) to remember folks!!
  22. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 2, 2005 -> 01:50 PM) lmao...very nice Kalapse...very nice
  23. very nicely put chaos....the negativity needs to stop in my opinion...look around the rest of the AL...everyone has flaws and no team other than the indians have played well in the second half. Red Sox - great offense no doubt...but their staff is lacking some depth. Curt Schilling is not the Schilling of last year and they miss Pedro A LOT. If you look back at their championship team last year they won on pitching and defense....not offense. They traded offense to get defense...remember that. Yankees - look at their starting pitching...nuff said. Angels - most well-rounded, has best chance along with Chi Sox in my opinion to make it to the Show. Colon has been a stud, but other than K-Rod rest of bullpen a little shaky. Offense is also as inconsistent as Chi Sox. A's - great staff...but a little young and inexperienced in key roles like closer and most of rotation. Some key injuries like Crosby's will hurt a lot. Indians - good all around team and will be dangerous for years to come...may still make the wild card but not enough to catch the Sox. After looking at the rest of the league you should feel better about our White Sox. While we my not win it all or even make it to the Show...I believe that we have just a good of a chance as any other team in the AL. Keep your heads up and GO SOX!!!
  24. QUOTE(the People's Champ @ Sep 1, 2005 -> 09:25 PM) We need some of that here. Being negative is just a waste of time, it isn't going to do any good to b**** about the team, so why not think positive and enjoy the fact that they are STILL IN FIRST PLACE, AND THE BEST TEAM IN THE AMERICAN LEAGUE. right on!!!
