  1. I agree Moncada should be off today, but Delmonico in the two hole....ehhh...not so much. Anderson should be bumped there on a day like today.
  2. Remember @fathom, the money will be spent. ? I actually think they need more SP than even offense. Unless Cease and Kopech are going to come in like gangbusters.
  3. This is what I fear as well. Throw Kopech in as a path to the bigs too. Maybe Basabe can turn things around? Some of the A guys before they bomb in AA? Rutherford should be this guy but he has been terrible.
  4. It is a context thing though, it is only meant that way for certain people. So I wouldn't think you would look like a moron in that situation.
  5. I think it was adopted around the time when Trump ran for President, around the same time as the Pepe the frog meme. They took this sign on purpose because it would hidden from most people. The guy who murdered all of the Muslims in New Zealand made the same gesture during his court appearance. Between him and the Cubs fan guy this definitely has given more awareness to what the gesture means among white supremacists. https://www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2019/03/15/suspected-new-zealand-shooter-appears-in-court/amp/
  6. Zack Collins bat has really turned it around...being in Charlotte helps with that ball park....but has anyone seen him catch at all? Has that improved at all or is he looking to be destined for 1B/DH spot. If there was a spot for him he would probably get a call-up this year but Yonder has that spot (right now). I hope we get a look at both Cease and Collins at some point this year.
  7. I hope Brad Keller and Martin Maldonado catch that bat flip on MLB Tonight. Great 9th inning for Tim on defense and offense after his gaffe on the bases with Abreu.
  8. I was thinking the same thing. Honestly I would rather take a player that takes too many pitches and teach him to be more aggressive in the zone than the other way around. Trying to make Tim Anderson patient will probably never work.
  9. I was on the side of just put the glove away, but I see this point. A 1 game away from the field may help reset his mindset but I agree he needs reps. It makes sense now why when I saw him on Monday every catch he was making in the OF he was making exaggerated two-handed catches. I think you are right he isn’t reading the ball well at all.
  10. I’m sure he ranks pretty high up there with the bad. If Cordell can play CF he may take his job.
  11. This is a valid point. Maybe if he moves to 1B he could get better defensive WAR?
  12. The dude has like 75 career MLB ABs. And he will never be a good defensive player.
  13. Just turned it on while Sox were batting. Rodon look good today? Not sure if anyone had seen this but Rodon was tied with Scherzer at 1 WAR coming into today’s start.
  14. So far he has looked good at the plate since coming back up. Wasn’t he a CF prospect with MIL?
  15. Benetti was spot on with this and actually I feel if the White Sox did what the Royals did he would be critical of the White Sox. He wouldn't have done a Hudler homer take on this, at least IMO from what I have seen/heard from Benetti.
  16. Thanks, but also kudos to Moncada for buying in and listening to Steverson and company on what the stats were saying.
  17. Going back an inning here, but what I like most about Eloy right now is the kid seems to adjust to what pitchers are doing to him really quickly. That is the sign of a really good baseball player. Also, does anyone know the genesis of Moncada's approach change? Was that Yoan? Was that Steverson? Was that the new hitting coordinator guy? I thought I remember Abreu trying to get him to be more aggressive last year. Not sure if any reporter asked him about that.
  18. I will love to hear the Tim Anderson ejection reasoning after this game.
  19. Benetti was spot on for this whole situation. I know people don't like his corniness, but he is a real professional broadcaster. Joe West is a moron.
  20. Encouraging he has gotten his OPS up to .817. I do share your concerns for XBH though. I am hopeful with some weight training and extremely high hit tool that he should develop SOME gap power.
  21. If that is the case he should definitely tweak it. If he likes some movement for timing and weight load I am sure he can develop a smaller foot movement or something. He seems to be a good enough with the bat like you mentioned to be able to do so.
