    I think that is a case where Fiers recent history gets him. But I agree. Not trying to hit a guy on a curve.

    This is interesting...I never really thought of this. Isn't this kind of what Covey has done? He seems to command his fastball much better now than the little I saw of him last year.

    I am cautiously optimistic. He upped his FB to 94-95 with some really good movement. Development of him and Rodon the rest of this year is really important.

    Agreed. I will take those two swings. Lineout and a decently hit flyball he just got under. As Hawk would say he just missed it.

    But I will say if he looked tired...stuff started to falter....or top of lineup was coming up then I would say it would be a good spot to take him out.

    Once everyone gets there and bad decisions happen under the microscope a change will be made. Unless they want Girardi....then they will need to pull the trigger next season.

    This is why Renteria will not last as a manager. Pains me to say it but I think Joe Madden takes him out after 7. Or at least after the first hit.

    Yolmer is a good major league player. I would not have said that like 2-3 years ago when he couldn’t hit anything.
