  1. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 15, 2013 -> 01:12 PM) Legit question, do people really call Bloomington btown? Back when my wife went there some people did. I wouldn't say it was popular but I heard it a few times.
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 11, 2013 -> 12:51 PM) For my two cents, it makes best sense to have the lefties separated as much as possible, but to have Sale #1, so that the lefty in the #5 slot (Danks or Quintana) is a different look than the guy you just saw. I wouldn't slot Q and Danks together. Sale Peavy Quintana Floyd Danks This looks right to me as well because I do think you need to break up the lefties. Danks has to be the 5th because he will be the one that gets skipped if he needs the extra day.
  3. Gillespe has a good quick short stroke.
  4. I just turned the game on...how did Troncoso look?
  5. After a dominating performance like this...all you can expect is..... Championship Although in all seriousness the pitching will keep us as close as we can to the Tigers....if we can beat them when we play them, then we give ourselves an opportunity.
  6. I voted. Good luck! Sox need some good representation.
  7. Oh sorry...didn't realize it was in the Draft Picks thread. You can close this thread if needed.
  8. Could be a nothing signing, but he did have some good college numbers. Anyone know anything about this guy outside of his injury? http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/white-sox/...ded-to-the-fold
  9. Interesting ticket idea Sox came up with....Holiday vouchers. You can exchange them for either UD or Outfield seats. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/cws/ticket...19160-478323570 Not a bad idea as a gift for a Sox fan. I didn't go through the process, but it looks pretty cheap to me.
  10. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 28, 2012 -> 09:03 AM) The average number of home games where the time is actually changed is probably 2 or less a year. Post the times White Sox.l When I went through the process of buying tickets, they gave me the times, it just isn't on the schedule on the website for whatever reason.
  11. Very good assessment graph as well. That might be the best thing I have ever seen Phil Rogers write. I definitely think they messed up that rotation a bit as well. Jake Peavy & Floyd still on the team in 2016? Probably won't happen. I also agree that I look forward to seeing what Beck can do with physical adjustments. Let's hope this team starts to build within!
  12. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Sep 24, 2012 -> 09:55 PM) Choo has a BA over .300 against Thornton. Absolutely the right move by Ventura. Agreed. And lefties were 0-fer against Veal. Without a dominant closer...I bet a lot of managers would have handled the 9th inning the same way with all the lefties that Cleveland has. Like someone already mentioned...why did Pestano face Dunn?
  13. Hawk...didn't know what to say on that grounder. We can all breathe for 1 day at least.
  14. That was nasty. No lefty could hit or stay in the box on that pitch.
  15. Wow...that was almost a disaster throw by Thornton. Good thing Alexei is out there and not Peralta.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 24, 2012 -> 09:37 PM) Why Thornton and not Veal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No idea.
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 24, 2012 -> 09:34 PM) Dan Johnson for Beckham might go down as the KEY decision of the game. This. And Adam Dunn with probably the biggest homer of his career. Hasn't been on many good teams so it is probably his biggest.
  18. Kind of interesting for Oak to use a lefty in the 8th when Dirks is only lefty hitter in the sequence...they must not have a good righty option besides closer?
  19. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 20, 2012 -> 02:34 PM) It sucks, but this might be the only game in my lifetime that I cheer for Grant Balfour in any way, shape or form. I would have to agree with you on that one.
