  1. Stupid meetings...I guess I missed some stuff. What happened? Q threw at Zobrist and got tossed? Bah. Good thing a day off tomorrow with a bullpen day.
  2. No matter what his average will be...as a 9th place hitter O Dawg has great patience. Has he always drawn a lot of walks?
  3. QUOTE (kapzk @ May 30, 2012 -> 12:33 PM) Kc takes the lead, 4-3 Thats good news.
  4. Gameday is SLOW on updates. I do like when it says "in play, no out" though.
  5. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 25, 2012 -> 12:46 PM) From what I have read he is of dragon and mayan god descent. His fastball has been known to literally start on fire and destroy bats, and his curveball will occasionally turn into green mist that will render a batter unconscious. KW put him on the roster out of pure fear. Hope this helps. Definitely. Looks like I won't have to worry about a Hafner, Kipnis, or Choo homer in RF. They will concede their ABs out of pure fear.
  6. Going to the game tonight. Intrigued by watching Quintana pitch. Anyone have a scouting report on him?
  7. Tank needs to look to shoot to RF..every pitch outside.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 20, 2012 -> 03:13 PM) They had a shot at Peavy if that throw didn't get cut off. I was curious at why they did. It didn't seem offline.
  9. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 20, 2012 -> 03:03 PM) Seagar has been my 3B since Longoria went down. Ah...well there goes that idea. :-)
  10. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 20, 2012 -> 02:54 PM) I'm on the verge of letting him go in my fantasy leagues. He's been horrible. I have him in a league and picked up Kyle Seager until Alexei gets hot. If you have a spot for Seager and he is still out there..I would recommend him at a weak SS position. Decent hitter for Seattle.
  11. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 20, 2012 -> 02:49 PM) Geezus. It's their ballpark. They are not used to the wind blowing out by now?? The Cubs have really annoyed me this series. They just know how bad they currently are and are trying to compensate for it. Just wait for June, July, and August....balls will be flying out of that park and with their current lineup...most of them won't be for the home team.
  12. QUOTE (Jake @ May 20, 2012 -> 02:41 PM) Corpseballlllll Talk about Corpseball...this Cub offense outside of Castro and LaHair (who knows if he can keep it up anyways) is just brutal.
  13. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 20, 2012 -> 02:15 PM) Lol yeah "The wind will carry this one out" I don't remember Len & Bob so homerish.
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 20, 2012 -> 02:14 PM) THAT. WENT. FAR. Dunn is a very STRONG man. My goodness that ball was hit hard. Here were those mistakes we were hoping Malholm would make.
  15. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 20, 2012 -> 01:55 PM) Just think how the Angels will feel someday with Albert as well. At least they can DH Albert at some point if his fielding becomes a problem. Cubs don't have that option with Soriano. He would be a decent DH for some AL teams....but probably not at that price tag.
  16. Bad baserunning there by LaHair. I'll take it. Also, great job on the rundown by Lillibridge...knowing he is faster than LaHair. Limiting the # of throws.
  17. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 20, 2012 -> 01:49 PM) Soriano would drive me crazy if he was a White Sox. Their version of Rios. But at least Rios can field his position...most of the time. Soriano never can.
  18. Whoever is playing 2B...looks very awkward out there. That easy pop-up looked challenging for him and his throw when Fuku advanced looked strange as well.
  19. QUOTE (Jake @ May 20, 2012 -> 01:29 PM) If he pitches that well we sure won't have a chance...he didn't throw a pitch in the vicinity of the middle third in those 3 AB's Agreed. At this point it isnt just our inability to hit pitchers like him....he is actually pitching well. Hopefully he will leave a couple out over the plate and we can hit a few mistakes.
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ May 20, 2012 -> 11:26 AM) It makes absolutely no sense to be playing Fukudome today against a LHP. Last night was the perfect chance to play him for Rios if you wanted to. BTW, Dunn is 3-28 in his career against Maholm. Yeah I definitely don't understand that one at all. Head scratcher to say the least.
  21. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 19, 2012 -> 09:09 PM) His dad Marty, I believe. Ahh. I thought they were announcing together. My bad.
