  1. Adam Dunn article from Fangraphs giving some stats behind Dunn's resurgence. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/index.php/w...nns-resurgence/ In a nutshell he is hitting pitchers mistakes a heck of a lot more than last year and he is hitting fastballs. Goes back to what we all saw when he was swinging at fastballs in the glove last year. Hopefully he continues this trend. If he does, he will be same old Adam Dunn. BB/K/HR
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 11:32 PM) Wow, Rios is not going to be happy No....definitely not. Like it was stated earlier..should have gone Fukudome/AJ 1st...Dunn 3rd like you said then Rios could have still batted. Dumb.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 11:20 PM) Should be seeing AJP leading off with Dunn batting 3rd next inning. Yes. Ventura should get that one right. Hopefully he learns from that mistake. Based on how quick he moved Morel down...he doesn't appear to be as thick-headed as our previous manager, so I think he will learn his lesson.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 11:11 PM) Really bad decision by Ventura One of the 1st times I have really questioned his judgement. At least bringing Peavy back in they were up 4 going into the bottom of 9. I just see no benefit to this considering our bullpen is extremely rested with 2 out of the last 3 games being CG. Makes zero sense.
  5. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 10:44 PM) This is the game we steal with our sick bullpen. BOOK IT! +1
  6. I don't know if it is the camera angle or what...but it seems like a lot of line drives are hit hard there, but nearly all of them are caught. (Mostly last night)
  7. Not sure what Dunn was looking for there...but OK.
  8. I really hope Alexei can run away with this 2 hole. We need someone to step up and take it. I would prefer Rios to stay in RBI position of 5th or 6th the way he is hitting.
  9. Just score 3 more runs...then can bring Peavy out without questioning it.
  10. Morel turning and burning on that pitch. Nice to see.
  11. Do you bring JFP out for the 9th? Or hand the ball to Santiago? I know what Peavy wants. Does Robin give it to him?
  12. Cub game over...Comcast TV can switch to 285 for HD goodness.
  13. QUOTE (Wanne @ Apr 23, 2012 -> 09:56 PM) Sweet!...turned it on just at the right time. I still can't get over the size of Colon's melon...good god. Lol. He isn't doing so bad in the waistline neither.
  14. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 23, 2012 -> 09:45 PM) Weird not having Mark Ellis around to crush our soul in this stadium We also need Jermaine Dye to come back and play SS for an inning. It was SS right?
  15. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 08:06 PM) My daughter was at the game wearing hers. Pretty sure she was the only person in attendance wearing one. Leaving the game with her was a total blast. You wouldn't believe all the Mariner's fans high-fiving us. Mariners fans are pretty cool, I must say. That is pretty awesome. I have been to Safeco before as well as a traveling Sox fan and was treated nicely as well. Great game to be at! Dominating performance though. Wow.
  16. Ova. Good recovery. We can stay interesting for awhile if Dunn/Rios/PK/AJ keep taking turns playing well with the pitching we have. Still will need SOMETHING from Viciedo/Beckham.
  17. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Apr 20, 2012 -> 11:30 PM) Going to left more seems to be helping Dunn. His timing looks better. I would agree his timing does look good. Rios' timing has looked alright at times as well. He doesn't have many XBH's yet but he hasn't looked awful either.
