  1. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 08:11 PM) It baffles me why we didn't sign Vlad. I don't think Vlad had any interest in coming to the Sox.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 08:08 PM) Jones is quickly turning into our of my least favorite players on the Sox in a long time. He simply has no plan at the plate before flying open and looking pathetic. Sorry Andruw, you suck without steroids. Definitely. Kotsay was mine before, but he has at least come up with more clutch hits and walks on a consistent basis. He sucks....but he isn't an automatic out up there.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 07:57 PM) When will KW and Ozzie be smart enough to DFA Jones? He's such a waste of a roster spot right now. This team is going to have to start hitting the long ball again. Agreed. I am starting to get concerned about the loss of the HR on this team. Can they keep scoring enough runs every day without it? I really doubt it.
  4. This is the game I thought we had least chance of winning. Let's take 2 out of 3 and go 3-3 on the trip!
  5. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 12:24 AM) Didn't they do it for Memorial Day as well when the Sox were off I thought Smoak would get ahold of one Yeah I think they did. I don't remember them being all white though, but they could have been.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 12:22 AM) I think that's racist Torrii Hunter would endorse this belief.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 12:20 AM) Why are the Sox wearing these hats? And no Cali, this isn't a negative comment They are the stupid 4th of July Hats. For some reason EVERYONE has white hats.
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 12:18 AM) He did it on the first play of the game. Missed it. Did Pierre actually get a hold of one?
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 12:18 AM) He did it on the first play of the game. Stone probably just rolls his eyes.
  10. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 12:16 AM) it's after midnight - by now he's usually sawing z's and dreaming of running thru cornfields with Yaz while being chased by Catfish. Lol. Nice. So true though.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 12:14 AM) Hawk needs to get his vision checked. At least the second time tonight he called a play incorrectly. He seems to do that a lot. He cannot judge fly balls anymore either.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 12:11 AM) KOTSAY! If that ball hung up another section, I was going to push Mrs. Kotsay out of my bed. I hate to break it to you...but I don't think anyone on this board would EVER push her out of bed.
  13. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 12:08 AM) i have no doubts with klutch kotsay at bat. patented double coming... and boom goes the dynamite. Good call on that one.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 3, 2010 -> 12:08 AM) Just a bloop Kotsay...please don't hit a warning track fly ball. He has had a couple of swing in which I thought they were deeper than they were. Not sure if it is the camera angle there or just he really has no power.
  15. I just now joined the board for this game and I have to say...this is the most random page I think I have ever seen. *Edit* Make that the page before this.
  16. and boom goes the dynamite. Need to go and beat Greinke tomorrow and get 2/3.
  17. For the exact reasons that Kalapse gave is why I have LaRoche atop my list. It is not that I wouldn't prefer Dunn or Fielder, I just don't think he can get either of them without giving up too much (or even possibly over pay). I think LaRoche's 2nd half prowess could even be more amplified in the way lefties can do really well in our park. Unless Dunn doesn't take much to acquire, which I doubt, LaRoche is the most logical choice in my mind. At this point in the season I would think the D-Backs would just want to save the money that he would cost.
  18. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Jun 26, 2010 -> 07:45 PM) We gotta keep scoring. We just can't expect Freddy to be pitching shutouts. Agreed.
  19. They must not have turned on his mic yet...he wasn't screaming Yes! Yes! On Theriot's hit.
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 26, 2010 -> 07:36 PM) He's hitless in this series and had Thursday off, so his last hit was Wednesday, if that counts. But he had hits in his 6 previous games. That counts. Just his AB's the last few games looks like he is tiring a little bit. His swings look to be guessing more than anything.
  21. Oh great. Santo is joining the Fox booth next inning?
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 26, 2010 -> 07:34 PM) Coming into today, he has hit in 8 of his last 10 games and is hitting .324 in those 10. Really? It just seemed like he wasn't doing as well late...but I would rather be wrong about that.
